K9 Kenny

Kenny was so great with our dog, Maya. Maya is so smart but so stubborn and Kenny had so many extra tips and tricks to help us keep Maya engaged and following our orders. He always answered all of our emails very quickly and was very accommodating with our limited availability. He took great care to ensure Maya was comfortable/unafraid (she gets nervous around new people) during our sessions and walked us through the correct way to continue her training at home.

When I first brought my 5-month-old puppy to Kenny, she was completely untrained and very fearful. I wasn’t sure how she would respond to working with someone new, but Kenny quickly earned her trust. After just a few sessions, I started seeing such a positive change — she became more confident, responsive, and comfortable in new situations. What really sets Kenny apart is his clear approach to training. He explains methods in a straightforward, effective way that makes it easy to understand what’s expected — for both the dog and the myself. I especially appreciated the detailed email follow-ups after each session. They provided a great recap of what we covered and gave us “homework” to keep making progress between sessions. Kenny was also incredibly responsive and open to questions, always willing to provide thoughtful answers and guidance. It’s clear he truly cares about helping both dogs and their people succeed. Thanks to Kenny, my puppy is growing into a confident and well-behaved companion. I couldn’t be happier with the experience and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled, dedicated, and professional dog trainer.

10/10 recommend working with Kenny! He made a huge impact with my 6-month-old puppy in such a short time. Before training, it was starting to be tough to take him places because he pulled on the leash and jumped on people. He was also starting to bark a ton. Now, I barely have to touch the leash, he sits patiently in public, and his barking has gone down by 95%. Kenny is effective and also incredibly easy and enjoyable to work with.

A few years ago, we took one of our dogs to Kenny for training and this year, we took the other. Both dogs have almost polar opposite behavior; one has fear aggression and is constantly barking and unsure of herself and the other is overly friendly with very little self control. While some elements of those are still present and probably always will be, regardless of training, both are so much better with how they handle them now. Kenny masterfully adjusted the training for both to be specific to their individual characteristics and where they needed the most help. He came up with detailed plans for their training, focusing on some lessons while skipping others entirely to make room for new lessons, all tailored specifically for each pup. Additionally, he provided very detailed and informative emails after each session to recap what we all learned (dog training is as much training the owners as it is the dogs!), which also provided a quick go-to reference to see what to keep focusing on with at-home lessons in the time between sessions with him. Highly recommended for any dogs with any specific behaviors that you're trying to address. Thanks again Kenny!
