K9 Logic Dog Training

Signed up my 7 month old mixed breed rescue (cattle dog, chihuahua, poodle mix) for the 8 private sessions. My dog, Noli, is a high-drive, high-energy puppy and we had issues with her loose-leash walking, jumping, over-excitement, recall, general obedience, counter surfing, focus and attention. For the first few months I had her, I trained her myself at home via youtube but decided it was time to seek professional help. Just 3 months later and having completed the 8 classes, Noli has improved significantly with her obedience and focus. All of my friends and family have commented on how much she has improved and changed for the better. Signing up with K9 Logic was worth every penny and it is the most efficient way to achieve the results you are looking for. I worked with Chris and he was amazing with Noli. He has a wealth of knowledge and starts every lesson asking what we want to achieve and work on. Every week we work on a different task and he sends us home for the week with homework. He always has suggestions with different types of training tools, collars (we used e-collar) and leashes to use and answers the hundreds of questions I have for him. After the first few weeks of basic training at his location, he began to introduce different real-life distractions for Noli, like his own dogs. He would bring them along to training sessions which really helped mimic real life situations. Towards the end of our lessons, we would go to the nearby dog park with vast grassy areas to work on recall, stays, tricks and agility. We even went to a nearby home improvement store and walked through the aisles since I told Chris I wanted to work on being able to take Noli out to public places. Once you become an alumni, you can attend the group outings at the Americana, which we have attended and have been tremendously useful being around crowds and other dogs. We plan on continuing to attend the group outings. HIGHLY recommend K9 Logic and the entire team there - every staff member and trainer we have interacted with has been professional, kind and willing to help. Chris and the crew at K9 Logic are absolutely amazing. We worked with them to do an extended board and train session for our American Bully while we were out of the country and returned to find our pup with a much more dialed-in recall and a much stronger foundation in obedience. Not only that, but she loves them, which means we do too. This is our go-to for training and board and train when we do need to be away from home and can't bring our pup with us. They are the best! We'd give 6 stars if we could.

We have a deaf senior rescue pitbull with arthritis. Yes, he checks all those boxes. He was having panic attacks where he would act aggressively toward us, even though most of the time he's a silly goose and a sweetheart who just wants to cuddle. He also had a seemingly unfixable reaction to other dogs. He'd been dog aggressive his whole life, as far as anyone knew, and any time he saw another dog, he would lose his freaking mind. With this difficult case in mind, K9 Logic was honest with us and told us they couldn't guarantee results, and even agreed to refund us if we decided to discontinue the sessions. I appreciated their honesty so much. But we saw improvements IMMEDIATELY. The biggest thing they helped with was our confidence. We are new dog owners (I know, we started on Hard Mode, but we love our silly guy so much), and we just didn't know what to do at all as far as training. From even just the consultation, we were better equipped to deal with our dog's rough moments. After 4 sessions, our dog was pretty much trained to not respond to dogs at all, and his episodes got much less aggressive. Now, we go for walks and have a wonderful time. He's the best behaved dog in the neighborhood! He never barks at anybody. And when he has a panic attack, we know how to handle it in a way that calms him down quickly and keeps everybody safe. The best part is, even the dog seems like he's better equipped to deal with the panic attacks. He knows to sit down and lay down, or go to his bed to calm down, rather than act out. Pretty remarkable results for a deaf senior dog. And our dog absolutely LOVED the sessions and the trainer. He was always pressing his head against the guy and getting extra love. It was adorable. Without K9 Logic, we would have had to put our dog down. Because of their wonderful help, we can now enjoy our goofy, sweet pitbull for as long as possible. I can't even put a price on that, it's life-changing.
