K9 Logic Dog Training

What can we say? K9 Logic was hands down some of the best money we've ever spent. We took our beloved puppy Rune there at 8 months due to excessive barking, reactivity to dogs and people, lunging and pulling on walks. Although Rune was playful with other dogs, she also had insecurities that would arise and could cause problems. Walking her had become a nightmare and we were really stressed out even when just taking her out for a stroll. We'd tried various methods that we found on YouTube, saw on Instagram, or read about in books; and it seemed like nothing was working. We finally booked an 8 week training course with Chris and K9 Logic, and from the first class, we realized that this would be a huge opportunity for growth - for both us and our dog. Rune is not an easy dog, and Chris saw that. He helped us select the best tools to both teach and strengthen the behavior we wanted from her. He taught us how to teach. It's very hands on. Chris would show us how to train, and what homework we should be doing between classes. We really put the time in, and our results were amazing. Now we are able to walk Rune with no pulling, lunging, or barking. We can take her off leash with great confidence, even around bicyclists, other dogs, or children. One of the most valuable results of the training is that we now have far fewer negative interactions with our dog. Our bond is strengthened, and she really trusts us and wants to keep learning. She is less anxious, more confident, and happier. Obviously some of this is natural as the dog gets older, but we are thoroughly convinced of the great value this training has given us as dog owners. If we ever get another dog, regardless of its age or temperment, we would bring it to K9 Logic right away. Can't recommend enough. Thanks to Chris and the K9 Logic Team! Keep up the great work!

We worked with K9 Logic to train our puppy last year. They were fantastic - they taught us the techniques to work on commands, and helped set us up so we could continue practicing with our dog at home. The staff are very knowledgable and kind, it's easy to tell that they love what they do! We are so grateful we found this team. They were also very Covid-safe, and took mask-wearing and social distancing seriously, which we were very grateful for as well!

I don't even know where to begin. This training facility was recommended by a friend and we are forever grateful. We have a Shiba Inu puppy who is the sassiest princess with a strong personality and mindset. She thinks she runs the house (which she does but we can't let her know that). We knew we were up for a big challenge and putting her into training at the early age of 4 months was the best thing for her, and for us. We wanted to establish a strong foundation on obedience, socialization, and mental stimulation. We trained with Kelly and received tips from head trainer Chris as well. We researched and did our homework and decided balanced training with slip lead and e-collar would work best for us. Yes, not every dog need this type of training but we knew our pup will definitely benefit from it. Since we started her when she was young, she understood right away the importance of leash pressure and e-collar stim and how to turn it off. Within 2 lessons, she went from criss-crossing, lunging, sniffing and picking up every stick or pine cone during walks to heeling by our side. By 6 months old, we were able to take her hiking in Mammoth off leash with the perfect recall. Chris drilled us to keep hand feeding her to improve engagement and teaching her that all the good stuff comes from us. I am not going to sugar coat it; the training was intense but the important part is keeping it consistent at home. We hand fed and trained with almost every meal. There are so many great things I can elaborate on but this review will be an even longer essay. I think you get my point. They're great and well worth the price. PS. We drove from Irvine to Glendale just to train with these amazing trainers and met many new human and dog friends! We also went to puppy social almost every week for a solid 3 months or so and it was great socialization for our pup since it was supervised by trainers. We learned tips during these socials, like what to do when dogs get into it and how to read their body language. Very useful advise. Thanks K9Logic for guiding us along this training journey!

I brought my puppy Olympic to K9 Logic after feeling unsure about a previous trainer. I was a bit mistrustful of trainers as a result but after an encouraging evaluation I decided to enroll in a pack of 8 classes. From the start Chris was very helpful in his directions on how to channel Olympic's energy into his work and obedience. Every lesson built upon the last in a very clear manner and Chris ensured we knew how to do each skill before sending us off to practice at home. I along with Olympic learned how to turn pressure on and off and how best to communicate with one another. We progressed much faster as a team then we otherwise would have without the assistance of K9 Logic and I would definitely recommend them to get your puppy or dog off on the right foot!

We had an amazing experience with K9 Logic. Chris took special interest in our family Boston Terrier named Kimchi. Before signing up, Kimchi darted at children, and often was a bit aggressive toward other dogs. Kimchi even ran away one night in Runyon Canyon! After our first session, Kimchi calmed down almost completely. By our last session, Kimchi was sitting on command, returning to his “place”, and became an overall great dog. He can now be around children without issue and has no problem at the park where he enjoys playing with all kinds of breed-big and small. We truly had a wonderful experience and highly recommend K9 logic to anyone who wants to enroll their dog in obedience training of any kind.
