K9 Logic Dog Training

Our dog Comet became leash reactive after an encounter with an off-leash dog whose owner would not call them back. Over time, her reactivity became worse, and most training places we found only recommended a 5–6 week board-and-train program. We were not fully comfortable sending her away for that long, so we were very happy to find the Day Training program at K-9 Logic. Comet attended one full day of training at the K-9 Logic facility each week, and during the week in between, we worked on reinforcing what she learned at home. We worked with Shea throughout our 8-week program, and she was incredibly supportive, informative, and patient in helping us understand how to address Comet’s reactivity. We especially appreciated the 30-minute lesson after each day training session. It helped both me and my partner build confidence and learn how to better handle challenging situations on walks. We also love that we now have access to the weekend group sessions. Overall, Comet has improved immensely during her time at K-9 Logic. Walks used to be very stressful for me, and now she is able to calmly walk beside me. She is still early in her training journey, so she can still react to dogs that surprise her or are reactive themselves, but we now have the tools to help her return to a calm and controlled state. We’re so grateful for the progress she has made and can’t wait to see how she continues to grow over the next few years!

K9Logic was an incredible experience for our dog, Mabel. We attended once a week for 12 weeks, and the progress she made in that time was remarkable. The trainers are knowledgeable, patient, and truly understand how to work with each dog’s unique personality. Mabel became more confident, focused, and responsive, and we as owners learned just as much as she did. We had an excellent experience with K9 Logic Dog Training for our puppy, Harlow. The program is well-structured, easy to follow, and we noticed improvement almost immediately. Our puppy loved going to their training facility! We would drop her off for her training day then pick her up and get a 30 minute lesson. That intensive day of training and socializing made such a big difference. Our trainer, Alice, was outstanding. She was patient, knowledgeable, and provided practical techniques that translated seamlessly into everyday situations. She would even address specific questions and issues we had as we continued along in the program. A standout benefit is the continued support offered through the K9 Logic alumni community. It’s reassuring to have access to guidance even after completing the program. And don't miss the group classes! Its fun and helpful to have a large group of other dog owners all together supporting each other while we teach our pups. Rescuing a 125 pound Armenian Gamphr was the best and worst thing to change our lives. Aralez came from a her first year filled with trauma and abuse. She is huge, headstrong and smart. She is also devoted and loving and funny. We did not know what to do when your puppy’s chewing, pulling and charging might mean a trip to the doctor! But Alice and the exceptional trainers at K9 Logic sure did. They did not hesitate to take her on with love and firm discipline, teaching both her and us. With their training and support, Aralez was transformed in eight weeks into a dog that truly wanted to behave and interact with us so that she got the best results back. Learning how to use the E collar was the best thing ever now we can walk her past dogs and she doesn’t charge, she knows how to Place and calm herself when she gets excited and she’s really very responsive to just about everything we need her to do to keep her safe and us safe in an environment that she deserves to be in.
