K9 Mastery LLC

I was referred to K9 Mastery by a friend of a friend, who gave me only a phone number with no other context. I called and later followed up with a text, only to be told rather abruptly that I had contacted the owner’s personal phone. As a business owner myself, I would never intentionally message someone’s personal number, and I immediately apologized once I realized the misunderstanding. Unfortunately, there wasn’t even a simple “no worries” or “it’s okay” in response. First impressions matter, especially when someone is considering investing thousands of dollars in your services. I chose not to move forward—not because of the phone number mix-up, but because of how the situation was handled. Customer service begins long before money changes hands. If this is how a potential client is treated, it doesn’t leave much confidence about what the experience would be like after becoming a customer.

We reached out to Christie when we were at our wits end with our 1 year old rescue cattle dog, who was rapidly escalating into unmanageable fear reactivity and resource guarding. We were at a point where we couldn't even walk him for fear he would see another dog and scream and lose control. He was escalating to aggression with one of our kids, so we were desperate to find a solution that would help him, and help us know how to manage these issues- he would not have been able to remain in our home much longer otherwise. Christie responded right away, and based on a basic questionnaire, demonstrated a clear understanding of what was going wrong and why. She clocked the issues instantly. We sent Arch off for a nearly 5 week board and train, and upon picking him up, had an intensive hours-long session where WE were trained. The result is that peace has been restored to our home. While he isn't perfect yet, we know how to work with him on these issues and are confident they will continue to improve over time. Christie provides crystal-clear guidance and demonstrates an understanding of dogs (especially working breeds) that made K9 Mastery the best decision for us. He now knows he can trust us and he doesn't have to be in charge. We are able to adequately address his exercise and working needs. I have a model "office dog", and can take him into busy areas and walks on the trails without expecting the worst. We are so grateful to Christie for getting us the help we needed ASAP so that Arch can live his very best life!

Christie and her team are miracle workers. I would give them 500 stars if I could! Our family rescued a young German Shepherd mix who had such severe anxiety that we could barely get her to walk past our yard. She was fearful of other dogs and dangerous around people (even members of our own family) because she was so scared. After five weeks of board and train with Christie, she was a completely different dog. She now can go on long walks and loves any other dog she meets and can run and play for hours. Christie’s training didn’t just help our family, it gave our dog the confidence she needs to live a happy life. We are forever grateful to her and love her beautiful facility.
