K9 Revolution

We were lost before we reached out to Michelle and Jon. Our eight-month-old Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix, Casper, completely controlled our lives. He was harassing our 12-year-old chihuahua mix, biting us, jumping onto the counters and chewing on things he was not supposed to. We couldn’t even cook dinner without stressing about him chewing on our other dog or jumping on the hot stove before we could catch him. We were exhausted, he wasn’t having the quality of life he should because we had to kennel him to get anything done and our senior dog was vomiting due to stress. After 10 days at their facility, Casper came home with a completely different attitude. When we eat dinner, he lays on his bed and stays there until we are done. We can fold laundry without him eating our socks and our old boy can walk around and get a drink of water without being bitten or pounced on. It has only been three days since he has been home and the dynamic in our house has completely changed. We can now love on our dog and appreciate how great he is instead of having to constantly correct him or get frustrated with him. Michelle and Jon have changed our lives and we are so grateful for everything they have done for us. Not only do they help your fur babies, but they give you the necessary tools to help you keep up with their training. Thank you both for everything you do. I am so grateful to have been recommended to k9 revolution with Jon and Michelle. I own a rescued super mutt, named Totem, that has developed some reactivity over the years (he’s almost 3). I had seen 2 dog trainers prior, but nothing seemed to be working.. I was told “this is just how he is.”However, it seems Jon and Michelle finally speak his language. You can tell they love what they do and the dogs, in turn, love them. This was the first trainer to remove Totem from our home for an extended period to train him. Although emotionally this was difficult because I had never been away from him for that long, I felt it played a major role in the success of his training. Additionally, Jon and Michelle use a combination of positive reinforcement and prong collars. Their prong collar usage is very methodical and carefully done which I respected and cannot deny was effective. Jon was great at communicating while Totem was away. He sent texts, pictures, videos, and called us. He never made me feel like a crazy dog mom for constantly asking either. Jon is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about dog training. He had an answer for all of my questions and a surplus of suggestions on how to tweak things at home to set Totem up for more success post training. I can happily say I feel less lost with my reactive pup and am looking forward to seeing more improvement as we continue to maintain the training at home. I cannot say Totem came home a “different dog,” because I know his training isn’t over just because he’s back. It is an ongoing journey. However, I do feel armed with more knowledge on how to navigate and mitigate his reactivity. Not to mention, Totem’s obedience has improved immensely which I believe will carry over to decreased reactivity due to him having more self control and his pawrents giving more guidance. I cannot say enough great things about Jon. He has helped us more than he knows. Thank you K9 revolution! :)

We are extremely fortunate to have been introduced to John and K9 Revolution. His work with our dog, Blue, has made her into a happier, more confident pup. John took extra time to get to know us, which helped him to better understand what Blue needed to be more comfortable in this family. His expertise shows not only in the handling of the dogs but also in communicating the training needs to the humans. Highly recommend.
