About Camp K9Program details
We have two large exercise yards, with multiple layers of doors to ensure your dog’s safety. Our larger yard features agility equipment for increased exercise and mental stimulation. When dogs are outside of their private fenced yards, they are monitored at all times. Each yard is equipped with motion sensitive flood lights. We utilize The Ring Floodlight Cam (www.ring.com) for constant video surveillance of the dogs through a phone app. The Ring Floodlight Cam is the world’s only motion-activated security camera with built-in floodlights, a siren alarm and two-way audio so we can see, hear and speak to anyone who might come on the property. It has a 270 degree field-of-view and detects motion around corners and in blind spots. We are a family owned and operated business. To say that my husband, pup and I are 1000000% satisfied with our experience with Rick and K9 sensei would still be an understatement!! From the beginning, Rick was kind, caring and upfront about his training process and what we should expect from their 2 week board and train. His passion for animals is truly inspiring and we left our pride and joy with him with the full confidence that he was in great hands! Deku is still a puppy and we were having many issues with behavior as time progressed. Rick, Bella, and team trained our Deku on his behaviors while still promoting his incredibly loveable personality. We recieved daily pictures and videos of Deku's progress and even notes on when he was being a punk 😂. As our Deku ages and grows, we will continue to see Rick and K9 sensei team!!
I would reccomend Rick and K9 sensei team to anyone and everyone. Your fur baby will be in phenomenal hands, giving you a peace of mind as your training journey begins, improves, and finishes. THANK YOU K9 SENSEI!!!!!

Just got my pup back from the 2 week board and train and he is absolutely incredible. I never thought he could get to this point. The trainer Rick is amazing, such a sweet man. He send me videos and pictures of my pups progress everyday and reassured me everything was going to be ok. I highly recommend this place not only do they treat your dog like their own but it is also a very affordable board and train. Thank you Rick!

By far the best dog boarding experience in BCS, though several attempts at finding the perfect home away from home we came across Amy and Rick! Being skme of the kindest people on the plante they have provided an incredible experience for our little shihtzu! I highly recommended this option for any dog out there!

I asked for help with my dogs for training and boarding. He asked me what was going on I explained to him and then after that he told me he was full so I don’t believe he is a full on trainer I believe he just picks the easy dogs he’s not willing to help dogs that actually need help. And just so you know my dogs are getting trained at Petsmart and they’re perfect little angels his loss.

April was a scared puppy who reacted with fear towards people, objects and noises (everything!). I took her to a 2 week board and train with Rick Short at K9 Sensei and she is truly transformed. She was treated like their own pet, with the upmost care and love. I felt completely comfortable leaving her in their hands. She came home as a confident and calm girl who is able to enjoy all the wonders of a dog life instead of fear. She listens better, enjoys a walk on a leash (huge deal) and doesn't bark at everything anymore (tiny dog). She still kept all of the sweetness and spunk in her personality. I highly recommend K9 Sensei as a boarding and/or training facility and it's totally worth the drive all the way from Houston!
