Horrific, humiliating experience during AKC FCAT event where I was informed after my dog's first FCAT qualifying run, she was ineligible because she was deaf! Holding a limited AKC registration as well as being responsibly spayed, the FCAT official "allowed" my dog to run her second FCAT run of the day as a "courtesy". Unbelievably humiliated at the very public scolding, I took issue with my dog's eligibility with the owner of the facility who was dismissive. I showed the owner the AKC rules for FCAT eligibility but was placated and later via e-mail blamed for the"misunderstanding " when my dog was AKC qualified as entered!! Really??? Read the rules K9SplashZone, was humiliated because you didn't know the rules governing your AKC event?? Oh, and no overnight camping as advertised, didn't camp, simply asked - owner doesn't allow campers with the exception of a very small, chain-linked fenced go area unable to accommodate more than one or two RV/Motorhome at a time! Participate in any event here at your own risk. Destined to fail..
