K9 Swim Center

When my family and I bring both of our dogs, they actually look forward to the experience. As we walk into the facility every time, the dogs start pulling. Both of them have really bad arthritis. So swimming has been a blessings, because they're feeling exercised and enjoy playing in the water. Scott, the pool trainer, is a really rad guy. He is fun to talk to, very good with the dogs, and unprecedentedly patient. We appreciate the work he does, as well as the treatment he gives to our dogs. The facility is always clean and comfortable. There is a small bit of hands on from your end, which being a locally owned business, I am happy to oblige. Highly recommend!

Addendum: George has been swimming once per week since I wrote this first review. He has lost weight and regained the use of his back legs. George LOVES coming to the K9 Swim Center so much that he knows when it is time to leave, and barks at me until we go, continuing to bark all the way there. He RUNS into the center and swims the whole time. He is so happy when he swims, and he's quiet and contented all the way home. I expect I will be brining George to swim for the rest of his life, because he loves it so much. I took George in this morning for his first session of hydrotherapy. George is a dachshund mix who has a spinal disc injury that came on suddenly a month ago. I've kept him immobilized for four weeks, and he's doing better, but he needs some non-stressful exercise, both to build up muscles that have been unused and to lose weight. Scott, the owner of K9 Swim Center, could not have been more thoughtful of George's condition. He asked a lot of questions about George before doing anything, and then spent the session alternately having George swim across the pool toward me, and resting. Scott is very good with dogs. George is 8.5 yrs, and has never gone swimming in the 4 years I've had him. He took to the water and to Scott very well. The facility is conveniently arranged and very clean, the staff were friendly, pleasant, and professional. I could not be happier. The first session is actually FREE. But we will be back, because George deserves to recover fully, and I can see that this is really good exercise for him. I recommend K9 Swim Center very highly.
