We travel from Rochester after our Vet recommended this place and we couldn’t be happier! Devene our instructor has been excellent and generous with her time and attention.

What areas do you serve?
We’re located in downtown Ferndale and serve the surrounding metro Detroit area. For our Day Training service, we work within a 5-mile radius of our facility.

What training methods do you use?
We use positive reinforcement and science-based training methods. Our trainers are certified and follow the recommendations of the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) and focus on building trust and communication between dogs and their families through kind, force-free techniques.

What is the minimum age for puppy classes?
Puppies can start classes after their first round of vaccinations and with a negative fecal test from their veterinarian. We follow AVSAB guidelines that recommend early socialization before puppies are fully vaccinated in order to prevent future behavior issues that can come from lack of proper socialization during these developmental windows.

Do you work with reactive dogs?
Absolutely! We specialize in helping reactive dogs through our structured program that includes online foundations, in-person classes, and practice sessions. We have both indoor and outdoor reactive classes to meet each dog’s need and comfort level.

How long are your group classes?
Most group classes are 45 minutes long - the perfect amount of time for dogs to optimize learning. Our core classes run for 6 weeks and electives run weekly for 4 weeks.

I love the individual adjustments the trainers make during group classes, even with a group of 6 dogs they're still giving one on one attention and making sure each dog is getting the most out of each class.
Absolutely love their programs and staff. If we lived closer we would spend so much more time and money there with our pups.

We recently took Wario to a Basic Manners course hosted by Brooke, and it was fantastic. Brooke gave great tips and advice as we worked with Wario to help him find more success in his training. She made it both educational and engaging, and even reached out with additional suggestions to help with Wario’s specific training. Once we make some more progress at home, we will be back for Intermediate courses!
Due to the weather for my dog to not be able to go on his regular walks, the option to rent out the training room was a great solution! My dog Clyde, was able to get his energy out while keeping cool! The whole process from booking to arriving was seamless. Definitely will be booking again!
