K9 University - CLOSED

If I could leave 0 stars I would. On July 14th we dropped off our sweet Hazel for one week of boarding and training. On July 19th the owner, Vicki Russell, called to inform us that our Hazel had been mauled to death… by her own dog. This was the most devastating news. Our family lost a member that day and my kids lost their fur-buddy. Our hearts are broken forever. Clearly this place is beyond irresponsible. Do NOT ever trust your dogs here. Also, our experience is not a tragic one off. Folks we don’t know, but later learned about, also lost their dog to similar circumstances 1 year earlier. How a boarding and training facility tasked with dog safety above all else loses 2 dogs in this fashion is unfathomable.

2 incidents of deaths to dogs within a year. All because of zero supervision and aggression. Most businesses that have occupied this building have had issues and k9 is no exception. It is disgusting how little care is given to the animals and the fact that they are not looked after and more than one attack has happened with 2 deaths involved (AT LEAST ONE WITH THE OWNERS DOG DOING THE ATTACKING!) is awful. You bring your dog to be kept safe, to be loved, trained, cared for, happy. Not to be neglected, ignored, pulled through a fence and mauled, to more than one dog. Lord knows if it had been my dog things would have ended very, very badly for them. Save yourselves and your dogs. It’s not worth it to risk it.
