K9 University Dog Training OKC

I have a very reactive German shepherd named Creed and a few months ago we started private sessions with Chyanne. I am so beyond thankful for her!!!!!!!!!! SHE IS SAVING MY DOGS LIFE!! I couldn’t bring him around any human or dog without him losing his mind and it being a literal chore to do anything with him BUT NOW he is able to actually be present around other people AND dogs and not have a chip on his shoulder. Chyanne is literally a god send and I will refer any and everyone to her!!!!! She has educated me, my family and my dog on so much! As well as had so much patience, I can’t help but praise her. SO THANKFUL TO HAVE HER TRAINING ME AND MY DOG!!!!!!!

We had both of our Mini Dachshund puppies (5.5mo and 4mo) go to two weeks of board and train to get basic obedience started, and help us kickstart potty training since doxies are known to be difficult to potty train. Let me tell you….we got two brand new dogs back. Parker, the younger female picked up on the potty doorbell so quick! She will touch it and sit and look at us so we’ll take her outside…and if we take too long she does it again. She has also figured out to ring it when she just wants to go play outside and be a menace to society 😂 She’s a WILD girl but she knows her commands too when she isn’t in full blown ADHD mode lol (sit, down, heel, leave it, come, stop and quiet). One issue we had with her, was she was an aggressive licker…she’d get so excited to love on you that she’d jump and nip at you. She still gets excited and jumps to give us kisses whenever she gets the chance, but she hasn’t nipped at us once since she’s been home. Pablo, the older male, although he just relies on Parker to ring the doorbell, has done SO well with potty training and is SO good with his commands. They also started working with them on positive behaviors for grooming and exams, which came in handy as we had Pablo groomed a few days ago and they just bragged and bragged on him. Due to their barking (mostly Parker) we didn’t crate them at night and because of that, I wouldn’t get much sleep because if I didn’t wake up when they did in the middle of the night, they’d go potty on our bed (yuck)! We are also able to crate them now, and with NO/very minimal barking(!!!) and they’re going all night without needing to potty, but if they need to they playfully wake us up to go outside. So they get to continue sleeping in bed with us🙂 We absolutely LOVED seeing their pictures on the FB page while we were gone and getting more pictures and updates on how they were doing from their trainer. We’re going to continue with the group classes offered by K9U to build on the foundation that they got during their board and train. I will always always always recommend K9U and am excited to keep working with them to get our babies trained and confident.

I contacted K9 University after one of my dogs hurt my other two dogs resulting in vet visits. I was at the point of considering rehoming my dog even though I didn’t want to. I had private behavioral training with Chyanne. It was great! I left the first session believing that my dog’s behavior could be changed and I had hope that my dogs could live peacefully together. Chyanne was very encouraging and responsive when I emailed about questions. During our sessions, she provided me with the tools I needed to train my dog and get peace at home. She also encouraged me that my dog’s behavior was trainable and told me not to be defeated or loose hope. I am very thankful for Chyanne and K9 University because now my dogs get along great and there have been no more incidents! If you are looking for a behavioral trainer for your dog, I highly recommend K9 University! They helped me realized it is never too late to get help!

Nova just completed her Intermediate Obedience class, and we are so thankful for Shannon! As a rescue, Nova came with some past trauma, and Shannon has helped both of us build confidence and trust while navigating those challenges together. We’re excited to continue with private lessons to perfect behaviors unique to Nova before moving on to the advanced off-leash class.
