What training methods do you use?
I use LIMA style dog training, also known as Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive, it’s a training approach that focuses on using the least amount of force, punishment, or coercion necessary to teach a dog a desired behavior. It is based on the principles of positive reinforcement and operant conditioning.

I began training with Niketa when my dogs were just a few months old. About a month into training, I added a second puppy to the family and needed Niketa's support more than ever. Turns out my new puppy came with an array of behavioral issues including aggression and resource guarding. Niketa was very hands on and became very familiar with all the individuals involved with the care of the girls. It really helped to ensure that we created an environment where they would thrive behaviorally and socially even after training was done. Niketa's expertise and nonstop support and encouragement really made the difference to now having a calmer, manageable and more obedient dog with much less aggressive tendencies. Niketa really set us up for long term success teaching me as an owner how to control behaviors and most importantly how to identify and avoid problematic situations or as she would say how to "advocate for your dog".
We have built a lifelong relationship and bond with Niketa and continue to do check in sessions as the need arises. I cannot say enough positive things about Niketa. I am very pleased with my experience and whole heartedly recommended Niketa. She is the ONLY person I would leave my dogs with outside of close family. We book our boarding appointments months in advance to ensure she has space to board the girls when I am traveling with my family. She really cares and really is the best there is.

Niketa is phenomenal. We started training with our older golden Whiskey when he was a puppy and we were nervous because we didn’t want to “dominate” our dog. As soon as we started, we relaxed. Niketa truly values training on mutual respect. We ended up getting another puppy Tango whose personality was completely different. Niketa was able to adjust her training styles between the two and help us be able to walk both at once. Additionally, she helped us prepare for the arrival of our baby with stroller training. I can’t say enough good things about Niketa and how she helped us. My sweet pups are happy and well behaved thanks to her.

Nikita is PHENOMENAL!! I’ve tried many trainers thought my life, but she shines! She’s so incredibly talented and my dog has made so many bounds since he started with her! Nikita is so good at working with the dog and more so the owner to practice training and continuing progress with your dog! She has also become a friend! we are very glad we picked her and not other trainers that use E-collars and enforce crating.. That approach doesnt work on ALL dogs. She definitely knows the dog psychology and studies for it.
Our house is also multi pet house - thats a next challange to tackle. She is also flexible: your house, outside, her facility...
