We worked with Megan six years ago when we brought home Leilani, our rescue coonhound. Leilani was sweet-natured but very willful, and we had a tough time getting her to listen to commands and walk without dragging us down the street. Within a few weeks, Megan had things turning around for us — in large part because she made it a point to engage us, not just Leilani, in the training. The results weren’t just a quick fix — Megan gave us strategies that we still use almost every day. We also work with Megan’s company for weekly midday walks, and we have used her pet sitting services on several occasions with great results. Leilani is a happy, healthy pup in no small part because of Megan and K9dness. Highly recommend!

I recommend Megan's work so highly! From our first consultation, it was clear how deeply she understands dog psychology. She efficiently, directly, and comprehensibly taught us how to use straightforward, consistent behavioral techniques to bring about positive change and foster family harmony in our multi-pet home (which now includes small children). She was instrumental in helping us transition our dog into our family, including through helping us crate train and teach our dog important commands. On a deeper level, she also helped us understand our dog's emotional state and needs coming from terrible conditions at the shelter he was rescued from. Our dog is such a peaceful, happy, comforting, fun, and sweet member of our family in no small part because of Megan's guidance!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Megan! We were referred by many in the community who have brought their pups to her for training or boarding. Our almost two year old “pandemic puppy” cavapoo, Graham, was anxious and lacking self-confidence and we knew we needed help if we wanted him to thrive (and keep our sanity as busy parents of young kids!). Needless to say Megan came to the rescue immediately. After our initial consultation we left Graham to stay with her for boarding and training for a few days. That was so helpful because she could see first hand what Graham was like in all situations and start working on things with him. She gave us “homework” on what we needed to continue to do after we brought him home which was intimidating at first, but exactly what Graham needed to change his behavior and so glad we had her instructions. She was always accessible during those first few hours/days after for guidance and encouragement which we needed! Graham has become much more confident and we are all much happier and relaxed as his dog owners as a result. Megan is extremely accessible and invested in making these pups thrive. We trust her recommendations fully and it’s obvious how much she loves what she does and is an expert. My only regret is not getting in touch with her sooner!
