Going through the 8 week training with Andrea was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made for my puppy and me. The training is very direct and structured, and frankly, helped create a stronger bond between me and dog. Not only does she focus on the dog’s obedience and correction, but she also makes sure the owner has a good understanding of everything as well. Would absolutely recommend Andrea and K9W to everyone.

I have used the services of Andrea of K9W Dog Training for the past six years to teach my two Shih Tzu. Andrea began grooming for me in 2015 at my home when 3 groomers refused a 2nd appt due to poor behavior by both my dogs. Within a week, Andrea gained cooperation from both my dogs and performed my grooming until she left our area in 2018. She was always gentle & you could sense Andrea’s enjoyment of the challenge of training. Andrea also taught my husband how to groom the dogs before moving. I had a serious barking problem from both dogs and I was amazed at her skills for teaching the dogs to stop barking on her command also when walking my dogs she taught me the commands to stop and go

Andrea is one of a kind. Pets love her immediately and respond to her commands quickly. She only takes a moment to establish the dog's trust. My dog had been living in the woods and had an injured eye and was blind in that eye when she was rescued. Andrea planned her training around a handicapped pet without a history. She understands the fears that my pet has and discusses the behavior traits she exhibits. That makes a real difference in how I approach my training with the dog. I am very fortunate to have found a dedicated trainer.

I have had Andi train my two dogs in many capacities (potty training, fear, aggression, leash obedience, etc.) and cannot being to explain how wonderful she has been with training them. She always goes above and beyond and treats my pups as if they are her own. For example, we would have an hour session and when she’d leave, I’d realize that she’d sometimes be there longer than the hour, just to make sure we had accomplished what that sessions goal was. She is generously available to give her clients guidance even outside of sessions, and even has gone with me to the pet store to ensure I’m getting the correct collar, leash, etc. When I got my second dog, as a puppy she was absolutely out of control with energy and was impossible to potty train (she would even pee in her own kennel). She pulled so much on walks that shed choke herself, and I wasn't able to control her in public because she would jump all over people. Andi I took my two dogs for obedience boot camp for 6 weeks and when I returned to pick them up, they (especially the newer puppy) were completely different dogs as far as discipline, and also were much calmer and seemed happier, due to the structure she instilled, and their new found confidence. You can tell that she takes amazing care of her clients, while also correctly disciplining them, which is shown through the dog's mannerisms around her and how excited they are when they know it’s time to train with her. She introduces the perfect balance of discipline and nurture to train your dog specifically tailored to your life and what is best for you (and your dog) on an individual level. She understand that not all dogs react to the same training and has done amazing work with each dog and their individual needs.
