I have been very disappointed by my experience with the training class that I have been taking my dog to here. Throughout the class the trainers, one in particular, has yelled at my dog on multiple occasions, in fact our first interaction she shouted at my dog “shut up!” before I had even signed in to our first class. They then tried to get me to leave me dog in a hot car during the first class because he was loudly barking. I get that it’s annoying but I wouldn’t be bringing my dog to obedience school if he were a perfect angel. They keep putting my dog in what they refer to as a half hitch and the leash keeps sliding down and pinching my dog’s penis which hurts him. On more than one occasion this instructor has taken the dog from me, put his leash on in this manner and basically dragged him around while I watch in horror shouting at me that she isn’t hurting him. It has been obvious that the staff members find my dog to be a nuisance and feel inconvenienced by him and they have insulted both my husband and I in regards to our dogs behavior. Today they asked my husband and dog to leave before class had ended because he was “farting too much”. I would not suggest taking classes here, especially if you have adopted an unsocialized shelter pet with behavioral issues and are looking for helps as we are.
