I always recommend Karma k9 to anyone who has dogs in Jax, or St Augustine even though it's a little bit of a drive. They are the best and have a lot of experience with all kinds of dog breeds. Everyone who works there is highly skilled, professional, and extremely nice. Once you've put your dog through training with them, your dog will build a good relationship and will love going back for boarding and tutoring. They also groom, and offer photo packages, etc. Highly recommend.

BEST DOG TRAINER & EXCEPTIONAL DOG BOARDING If you’re in Jacksonville or Northeast Florida and struggling with your dog, please read this. Our 4-year-old English Cocker Spaniel, Winnie, had become reactive, leash-pulling, constantly barking, counter-surfing, grabbing food, and impossible to safely walk. We left him at expensive day cares (like Bark on Park, Kanine Social) and purchased passes to parks (like Julington Creek Animal Walk, Kanine Social) because he would become so bored at home during the work week. During the evenings or weekends, time at home was chaos- full of barking, or him jumping on the couch, grabbing socks, television remotes, cellphones and other items -only to chase him around. Anytime we walked the street he was picking up something dangerous with his mouth and swallowing it. Our pure bred (working) dog was overweight and aggressive and as he became older we seriously considered whether we could safely manage him. (Knowing he was a working dog) we started hiring other trainers when he was 1 year old. First with programs in Jacksonville then other specialists (including a $4,000 board-and-train in Miami) with little to no results. If there was a treat in hand he would sit- but that was it. Karma K9 and Training with Melissa has been life changing. After four weeks (including extra time she gave at no charge), Winnie has transformed into a completely different dog. Melissa’s weekly video reports and consistent communication updates kept us informed of our dog’s progress and were evident in the final result. The language she uses to explain everyday behaviors and achieve results immediately proves her expertise in dog training. Her consistency is the key to her exceptional results. Our dog has mastered sit, stay, down, he holds thresholds, waits at doors and elevators, walks beautifully on leash, rides calmly in the car, doesn’t jump on counters or people, and listens to all new commands like heel, let’s go, come, off, leave it and place. He is capable off leash and with recall. My new dog is structured and obedient, almost like an assistant/therapy dog. He is calm yet still the most playful puppy. He is a joy to spend time with. We love taking him to restaurants and stores and he would rather stay home and snuggle or go for a long walk than be left at daycare anymore! We now board Winnie at Karma K9 when we travel. The entire team is kind and feels like family. He is beyond excited to arrive there! Melissa even refreshes and adds training during boarding. She answers my texts when I have a question and regularly gives extra support. After feeling taken advantage by other companies who promised a well behaved dog, Melissa’s commitment to training Winnie was really appreciated. Her professionalism and integrity means everything. Our experience has been a true blessing for us. Do not sit or stay— run to Karma K9!
