Elizabeth, thank you for the review. Clients and potential customers are more than welcome to a tour upon request. Typically, we do schedule them ahead of time for efficiency of customer traffic in the lobby and to make sure we have appropriate staff available to answer questions. I apologize for any miscommunication or misunderstanding from any of our team members. We should have listened more attentively, asked more questions and offered a tour during your drop off. Megan, thank you for your review. For the safety of all dogs entering our facility, Kasten’s Dog Training has always had a vaccination policy. In fact, all dog boarding facilities do, and if they do not they should. You are correct that you entered an on-line reservation on April 9th for a delivery April 17th. When this reservation was accepted, an email was automatically sent stating “The follow vaccinations need your attention prior to (your dog’s) stay for the given dates". Additionally, we had no vaccination records for the other dog. Prior to clicking the online reservation button on our website home page, there is a “Boarding” tab and “Before You Arrive” tab that give our vaccination policies, both of which you had access to, especially knowing their vaccinations had expired. I understand life happens. We get busy and you may have gone directly to the “Online reservations” tab, which also lists questions to answer. The fourth step in the reservation process covers vaccinations. There is a short paragraph, three options to send vaccinations, and three sentences that read: All vaccines must be in accordance with KDT’s vaccination policy. Dogs with vaccines not administered in accordance with KDT’s policy will be denied boarding, no exceptions. KDT’s Vaccination policy is available on our website: kastensdogtraining.com. You must then check the box that says: I’ve read and accept the message. As mentioned above, upon completion of the reservation request, an auto reply was emailed to you April 9th stating that one dog's vaccines had expired last June and that we had no vaccines for the other dog. This email states, “Please have all vaccines updated at least 10 days prior to arriving at Kasten's." When you arrived for your last boarding, you signed our Terms and Conditions, acknowledging our vaccination policy. It is unfortunate when we have to cancel reservations, but you had been notified in advance and had access to our vaccination policy online. We called you late the afternoon before arrival because that is when we received the vaccination records for your dogs. We require that vaccines are given 3-14 days prior to arrival (depending on the vaccine). Three vaccines were given April 15 for an April 17 arrival. Thus, the cancellation. - Steve
