Life-Changing Results for My Fearfully Reactive Dog! ​Allison at KC Dawgz was absolutely phenomenal. She immediately understood the underlying issue my boy Gravy was having: he wasn't aggressive, but rather fearfully reactive. After discussing with Allison, we decided on the 3 week, M-F daily sessions. I appreciated the frequent updates, helpful tips and weekly check in sessions. ​Her calm yet stern approach to training was exactly what Gravy needed, allowing him to gain the confidence necessary to overcome his fear and truly enjoy life as a playful pup. We were provided with the tools needed to succeed and helped build a great foundation for all training to come. ​The results have been incredible. Gravy quickly mastered his "place" at home and learned how to reel in his natural herding instincts. Our "old pup" has even caught on to the training cues being used! The true testament to Allison's work was our recent experience hosting several large family gatherings for the holiday, where Gravy was able to enjoy the chaos while remaining completely relaxed and confident. ​Allison's professionalism is invaluable and has allowed Gravy to live his life to the fullest and without fear. We have a predominately Australian Cattle dog, mixed with some other very strong breeds. We had all the regular puppy energy mixed with nipping, herding and stalking. We realized pretty quickly we needed help. After meeting Allison we knew we had found the right person for the job! We opted for the four week training session where we would drop off in the morning and pick up in the evening. Allison was patient yet didn't let our dog get away with the bad habits she was forming. We noticed a difference after just a few days and the working visits each week helped us learn what we needed to do to keep reinforcing the good habits that were being formed. We now have a dog that doesn't rip your arm out of its socket while walking; but stays by our side. She now comes in from the backyard when called even if there are a bunch of dogs barking at each other through the fence. Allison genuinely cares about your dogs and loves working with all types of breeds and sizes. Allison was so great with my pup Louie! I really feel like she cares about his success. I opted for the day training classes - two weeks now and two more weeks in December. Today was Louie's semester break and I am really amazed at how much he has learned. Allison was great at breaking down the training steps and answering all my questions. Louie is a puppy, so we've been working on general obedience training- sit, down, recall, place, heel. I left today with a packet of info on how to move forward and a promise from Allison to be available to answer questions when needed. This experience has been so positive. I recently got a new pup and he was a bit wild. Since giving him up was not an option I did some research and came across KC Dawgz, after Ranger’s assessment I was hopeful his bad habits would lessen. After 4 weeks of training with Allison, I have to say Ranger is a completely different pup. He still has his quirky mannerisms, but he is the best version of himself.
