Our wild and crazy 6 month old poodle pup, Wilson, did a 2 week board and train with Kelly and the result was nothing short of miraculous! He returned home a happy, grounded, and socially well adjusted pup. Truly amazing! Since Wilson’s return home, Kelly has been graciously available and immediately responsive to our questions and concerns. If she felt a home visit was advisable, she quickly arranged an in-home meeting time to offer additional owner support and training. KELLY ENGEL - DOG BEHAVIORIST I can’t say enough great things about Kelly Engel and her approach to dog training. From the very first phone call, Kelly listened intently to the issues we were having with our 2-year-old border collie (incessant barking/reactivity towards other dogs, fearful of loud noises, not engaging with our 2 other dogs and being isolative). She did a very thorough assessment of Finley and determined that he was extremely fearful of other dogs. She provided her training recommendations and it was determined that Finley would stay with Kelly and her pack for 2 weeks. Kelly kept us updated on his progress with frequent texts and videos. Near the end of his training she sent us a video of our little Finley sitting confidently in the midst of several other dogs. When he was ready to come home, Kelly spent time educating us on Finley’s specific issues, how she addressed them in training and what we needed to do to help him to continue being successful. He came back to us a more confident and much happier dog. Kelly continues to meet with us for training walks where she provides feedback on his behavior and how to best intervene. Kelly has taught us about dog behavior and more specifically about Finley’s behavior so we can better understand what he needs and the tools to address it. Sending Callie to Kelly Engel for two weeks was nerve‑racking, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Callie came home still her sweet self — just more grounded, fully socialized, potty trained, gentle with my cat, and responsive to every command. She also trained me, which I think was the more difficult challenge! Kelly has a rare, intuitive gift. She doesn’t just train dogs; she understands them. She is a true Dog Whisperer. The connection she formed with Callie was almost magical. I’m so grateful for the transformation and the care she put into Callie’s wellbeing. I had worked with a couple of other trainers and I can honestly say Kelly is absolutely exceptional. I’m so grateful for her!

My dog Sweeney went to Kelly back when she was in Bozeman, in 2015. He had some dog reactivity issues and I wanted him to be able to be off leash around other dogs because he was more comfortable that way. She didn't send me away because of his reactivity like a lot of trainers did, she helped me. He took her off leash class and thrived. He is able to navigate the world so much easier now because of that class. Still to this day, he remembers all the skills she instilled in him. Granted he is 15 now and pretends to not hear me haha but she gave him a freedom that he couldn't have before. Also, my little dog Jameson (long haired chihuahua) used to adore Kelly. He would stay at her facility when I was away and he always came back so happy and I could not thank her enough for that. If you are in need of a good trainer, do not hesitate to call Kelly.
