We adopted a 2 year old beagle mix (Ruby) in the spring and live on a large farm. After a few months on the farm, it was clear we needed some help with training. Our dog had absolutely no recall, no leash manners, and was not well socialized. I am SO glad that we found Kentucky Canine Coach. Ahmia was absolutely amazing and helped build a training program for her that really worked! Ruby is now living her best life on the farm thanks to the great training work. She's able to walk off leash (and on leash), socialize with other dogs and people, and recalls like a pro. Ahmia was clear about training goals and practices, provided amazing resources, and provided a variety of environments to train in. I'm amazed at how quickly Ruby retained her training. I absolutely would recommend to anyone looking for any level of dog training! Ahmia is a true animal lover, and I'm so thankful for her thoughtful guidance with Ruby.

I was nervous about boarding my dog for training, I thought that would make me a “lazy” owner or that my dog would miss me. Turns out boarding with Ahmia was the godsend I needed. My border collie Mavis really needed some home training, my attempts at home weren’t working. He would bolt out of the house any chance he got, bark relentlessly at anyone who would pass by and sneak food from the trash. After a few weeks of boarding, he was a totally new dog. Ahmia explained Mavis’ behaviors and worked to address them. Since being home, he has a whole new demeanor. I couldn’t be more thankful. I also love that Mavis got to experience lots of stimulating activities on Ahmias farm, I know he will miss the acres of land to run out and interacting with the horses and chickens. Mavis seems to really like the country now. I can’t thank Ahmia enough! If you ever had doubts about boarding your dog—don’t! So as long as board with Kentucky Canine Coach. Ahmia takes a personal, experienced and knowledgeable approach to dog training, unlike ant I have ever seen. I am going on a cruise next month and best believe I’m boarding with Ahmia! I won’t have to worry about Mavis being lonely or bored. Ahmia offers so much structure and stimulation, I know my dog will be in good hands.
