Over the past 3.5 months, Ali has been an invaluable asset to us since we welcomed Emory, our rescue dog, into our home. With her guidance, Emory has undergone a remarkable transformation, evolving into a well-behaved and good-mannered companion. Initially, Emory was apprehensive about almost everything, making walks and rides a challenge. Ali not only strengthened Emory's confidence with her expertise but also educated us on effective techniques for providing guidance and leadership. Ali's dedication and expertise as a trainer have truly been remarkable, and we cannot thank her enough for her invaluable assistance. If you're considering obedience or individual training sessions for your canine companion, I wholeheartedly endorse working with Ali. Honestly, we shudder to think where we'd be without her support!

We have used Ali for help with training our 10 mo. old Golden Retriever Maddie. Ali has been amazing. Very professional and friendly. A joy to work with. Our Maddie has become a pleasant dog to be around. No more jumping on everyone when she’s excited. She has learned how to walk on a leash patiently. It’s just amazing how much she has learned in six lessons! Ali has been patient with us as we learn to teach Maddie she’s not in control! Key2K9 has been an amazing experience. Ali was calm and patient with our pup while being honest and direct. Everything she taught us was taught in easy steps and built into much needed commands and structure for our Rottweiler. While consistant practice is key, Ali never made the training seem too hard or overwhelming for us. She also offered affordable training packages at convient times, working with our schedule, which was really important for us as working parents with children. We will continue to work with Ali and would highly recommend her to all other puppy/adult dog owners.

I can say unequivocally that without Ali’s training expertise, we would have had to rehome our dog but because we found her and listened to her instruction, we’ve turned a corner with him, and he is now very much a part of our family. We adopted Zeus (an 85 pound, 1.5-year-old Doberman) from a rescue in late July. Despite assurances that he was good on a leash and chill with other dogs, we shortly found out that he was a resource guarder, reactive at times and generally unmanageable on a leash. During this initial period, we also found out I was 5 weeks pregnant so training him became a top priority if he was going to stay in our home. We had our initial hour consultation with Ali back in August during which she gave us immediate steps we could take to start improving things (e.g. not leaving toys lying about, meal rituals, etc.) We ended up buying the 10-session 1:1 package and over the course of our training we worked on commands such as sit, stay, place, down, recall, meet-and-greet, leash manners, long-lead training and others. Most importantly, Ali showed me how to be a leader with Zeus (something Dobermans very much need!) Ali works just as much with the dog as with the owner, explaining the importance of consistency, positive reinforcement and why she’s recommending certain tactics or approaches. Ali is “no nonsense” in her approach and expects you to put in work and effort after the session to establish the new command at home. I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to put Ali’s instructions into practice and reinforce all boundaries and training with consistency. After an initial adjustment period, Zeus responded wonderfully to the boundaries Ali recommended (e.g. no couch, crate time, etc.) and has become more confident now that he knows what is expected of him. Ali is not only incredibly knowledgeable but is also a true dog person. She is always kind and respectful to the dog she is working with and reads a dog’s behavior during the session to make sure they are responding to the instruction being given. I know we’ll still go through an adjustment when our baby girl arrives, but we are now confident in our ability to successfully communicate with Zeus and set him up for success in our changing home. We could not be more grateful we found Ali – her training is worth every penny!
