I paid a substantial amount of money for what was supposed to be a professional two-week board-and-train program for my German Shepherd. What I got in return was nothing short of a disgrace—and arguably borderline animal abuse. My dog came back with zero evidence of training and multiple visible injuries. He had scabs and bleeding wounds on his neck from a prong collar that was clearly left on him far too long, and raw, worn elbows from being forced to lie on concrete. It was painfully obvious that he had been warehoused, not trained, not cared for, and not even given a soft place to sleep. This so-called trainer doesn’t train. He doesn’t communicate. He doesn’t care. When I raised my concerns, he was dismissive, defensive, and completely unprofessional. I had also paid for additional training sessions that never happened. Just more lies on top of the neglect. And it’s not just me—check the other reviews. You’ll see a disturbing pattern: dogs returning with bleeding necks, scabs, and absolutely no improvement in behavior. This man is unfit to be in charge of any living creature. In my opinion, he should be brought up on charges for animal cruelty. His treatment of these animals demands an official investigation. This is not just a bad trainer. This is someone who is hurting people's dogs and getting away with it. Do not give this man your money. Do not trust him with your pet. The only thing I can recommend him for is a full legal investigation into his practices.

Patrick Fitzgerald, owner of Keystone K9, took advantage of the fact that he was paid in full. He promised to be a lifelong resource for us along with months/years of reliable training for our pittie-mix, who is a very reactive dog. My husband and I would take time off of work to meet up for training sessions, to which we wouldn’t hear from Patrick until hours after our scheduled sessions, always with a new excuse. Safe to say he did not train my dog, simply put a choke-collar on him (which eventually gave my dog a Hematoma). We took Patrick to small claims court, and won. He of course appealed and when we refiled, the case had to be dismissed because my husband and I didn’t have a lawyer to guide us on how to “appeal an appeal”. The panel that read our case was heartbroken and wished they could’ve sided with us. It is clear that Patrick is taking advantage of desperate people and he knows how to work the system.
