Meet Soldier! He is my German shepherd I rescued from a shelter. My boyfriend worked with Aaron at the police department many moons ago. He gave me his opinion on his character and time watching him as a handler back then. I can easily say Aaron is exactly “what you see is what you get” in the best way. Unless you want someone to “fix” your dog entirely and never have to continue that work with them when returning home - well, there are a lot of people who will take your money for you and that’s just not this family. I originally reached out letting them know I wasn’t sure which of the 2 week or 30 day training would be better fit for Soldier. His wife Sarah got back to me so quickly with insight based on the info I provided and proceeded to let me schedule the 2 week training with a check in half way through. They easily could’ve said - Great! Pay here! Which I think is a common narrative in industries lesser known by the patron. Since Soldier’s homecoming I’ve spent maybe 30 minutes each day to continue his education. The second I put the prong collar on him, he’s ready to work and get paid (with lots of chicken). Aaron sets up a great foundation for success. I could tell Soldier really loved Aaron and his son Devin. Once Soldier hugged me at pickup he went right back to get his belly rubs from Devin as if I didn’t exist. Please use Kilo and Frei if you want an honest person working with your extended 4 legged family.

I feel compelled to write this review because I will admit that I started to second guess our choice based on some of the negative reviews here, BUT I am so pleased that we sent both our dogs to Kilo and Frei!! We did the two week board and train for Gabriel and Bailey (you can find them on their Facebook for proof if you want). I am so surprised by Bailey! That dog was constantly in trouble for not listening and now she's like a whole new dog. She's doing awesome. Gabriel has drastically improved but he likely needs a bit more than 2 weeks. Both dogs have done great on walks with sitting and staying put while others walk past. My parents visited and neither dog jumped on them. They come when called. It's honestly made our home so much calmer and easier now having dogs that listen. Even our 3 year old gets in on the action giving them commands and they listen! Now I want to mention Aaron and his family. In my opinion you won't find more down to earth people. They're just a normal family that isn't going to charge an arm and a leg. Everything Aaron explained to us has been spot on. It's clear they love dogs and they know what they're talking about. Aaron was always very quick to respond to my texts when I checked in and was super honest with their progress. Our dogs came home happy and healthy. Thank you so much Kilo and Frei for helping Bailey and Gabriel and us!

Please be advised that this individual and training program has been dishonest. When I asked why my puppy's feet were cut, they denied any involvement, despite clear photographic evidence showing the cuts. One photo shows her leash on the day I dropped her off, and another—taken while she was still in their care—clearly shows her hair had already been cut. I simply asked for an explanation, but they continued to deny it. She has never been groomed. Additionally, she was returned with all of the food I provided, which she finished within a week of being home, indicating she may not have been properly fed. She also knew basic commands before her stay, but returned unresponsive and in worse behavioral condition. They had promised to send regular updates, photos, and videos, and said they would take her on outings like to the local hardware store. None of this occurred. I only received videos during the second week, and only after repeatedly asking. Reply to the response from business: Please read between the lines, I’m not the only customer to leave such a review about dishonesty and lack of care. My puppy was not matted when I dropped her off nor when I picked her up, she has not been groomed because she didn’t need it yet. She’s a puppy! We brush her daily. We just took her to the groomers that we use for all our dogs, and they were shocked with the cutting to her paws while under your care. I have no reason to lie, but seems there is a pattern in your response to unhappy customers. Wanting to check in on my puppy while under your “care and training” is normal especially since at drop off your husband said he would have no issue with us checking in and sending photos. The comment about chicken and everything else you mentioned is irrelevant to my complaint. The check in on Easter was not till the afternoon, your husband had said all week he would send an update and he said he would send one on Sunday which was not sent in till after I requested it. I also have all the screenshots and if you would like to post me wanting to check in on our puppy and how that offends your business, please share it!!! Everyone would love to see the lies! I had a feeling in my gut at drop off and should went with it, I should have picked her up when yall keep dodging my check in text the first week.
