FirstBarkWe did puppy class then additional one on one training with Bentley. Bec was amazing to work with! Bentley loved her and had so much fun in all the classes. I would highly recommend Kim’s for any training needs.

With more than 30 years of business in West Michigan, Kim's K-9 is a fun and friendly center for dog boarding, training and doggie daycare. Founders Kim, expert trainer, and husband Brian Steffes opened the current Center in Kentwood, Michigan in March 1996. Lifelong residents of the Grand Rapids area and avid dog lovers, Kim and Brian have created lasting relationships with clients and their wonderful pets. Kim and Brian sold the business to their long-standing employee and friend, Martha Wiltse, in 2021. She carries on their values! The facility offers a safe and clean environment with multiple indoor and outdoor play areas, as well as flexible hours and a convenient location, just off of Broadmoor Ave. SE, near 28th St.

We LOVE Kim’s K-9! Our dogs are always so happy to go inside when we drop them off for daycare, & they’re usually fast asleep before we even get a mile down the road, after picking them up! The staff is so friendly, & you can tell they all care about our pups.

Kim’s K-9 takes superb care of my bernedoodle. I started with Kim’s when he was just a puppy four years ago and we have been loyal ever since. He considers Kim’s his second home.

I used Kim’s K9 in the mid 90’s when we had a lab puppy. Used the boarding and training services. It was great. But we signed our new puppy up for puppy kindergarten and it didn’t go well. Our new puppy is 5 lbs and will be 8 lbs full grown. I didn’t think of it at the time but she was by far the smallest dog in class. I wish the staff would have discussed this with me when I signed up. Lucie was with me. We left the class after 10 minutes of free time. She was getting trampled on. Lesson learned. Everything else about my experience with Kim’s K9 is very positive.
