With more than 30 years of business in West Michigan, Kim's K-9 is a fun and friendly center for dog boarding, training and doggie daycare. Founders Kim, expert trainer, and husband Brian Steffes opened the current Center in Kentwood, Michigan in March 1996. Lifelong residents of the Grand Rapids area and avid dog lovers, Kim and Brian have created lasting relationships with clients and their wonderful pets. Kim and Brian sold the business to their long-standing employee and friend, Martha Wiltse, in 2021. She carries on their values!
The facility offers a safe and clean environment with multiple indoor and outdoor play areas, as well as flexible hours and a convenient location, just off of Broadmoor Ave. SE, near 28th St.

Jackson isn't an overly social dog and can be wary of strangers, so it's been wonderful to have a place where he can safely get exercise, build confidence, and socialize. While we know he enjoys spending time with his dog friends, we're pretty sure he's even more excited to see the amazing staff who care for him every day!
The team at Kim's K9 has been incredibly kind, patient, and accommodating to both Jackson and our family over the last four years. Knowing that he is loved, understood, and well cared for gives us tremendous peace of mind. We are so grateful for everything they do and highly recommend Kim's K9 to anyone looking for a caring and professional place for their dog. 🐾❤️

Truly a very awesome place for daycare and training. We have done over 5 dogs now over the years in puppy kindergarten. Just great practical life skills taught with our new 'fur' kids. Love the class, it helped out all of our pups. We just have done daycare for the first time with our newest member of the pack and it was a great experience.

Our older girl LOVED her first day! So glad to have found a place that's friendly, kind, happy, thoughtful and loves what they do so when we need an occasional day care or overnight, she's got a great place to go that we're confident in.

I have been bringing my dogs to Kim’s for 17+ years. I would not take my dogs anywhere else. The staff at Kim’s is the best. I have never had a bad experience there. Boarding, daycare, and training is great. I highly recommend them.
