FirstBarkWe have been taking our nervous rescue pup to Kim's for over 10 years! Can't recommend this place enough. When my dog, who is scared of everyone, goes into a place and excitedly greets every single staff, you know it's a great place! Highly recommend for the daycare, training programs and boarding.

With more than 30 years of business in West Michigan, Kim's K-9 is a fun and friendly center for dog boarding, training and doggie daycare. Founders Kim, expert trainer, and husband Brian Steffes opened the current Center in Kentwood, Michigan in March 1996. Lifelong residents of the Grand Rapids area and avid dog lovers, Kim and Brian have created lasting relationships with clients and their wonderful pets. Kim and Brian sold the business to their long-standing employee and friend, Martha Wiltse, in 2021. She carries on their values! The facility offers a safe and clean environment with multiple indoor and outdoor play areas, as well as flexible hours and a convenient location, just off of Broadmoor Ave. SE, near 28th St.

The puppy daycare is incredible. Having a clean, safe space for a puppy to play is so hard to find. The rate is super reasonable for the amount of care provided. I love that they work on the training as well as playtime.
Beck and her team at Kim's K9 were so helpful! We are first time puppy owners - actually first time pet owners - and we found all the exercises, group work, and individual Q&A time invaluable! Would absolutely recommend to any new pet owners!

Huck has been going to Kim’s since he was 6 months old and he’s now 4! We’ve done everything from daycare, training, and boarding with them. All the staff and the entire operation has been nothing but amazing. The staff even have their own nicknames for him and it makes me feel so reassured that he is well loved over there. Having Kim’s in our corner has been a huge part of our successful journey raising this guy!
