Kindred Souls Canine Training Center

Our journey with Pete and Kindred Souls began 12 years ago with an unruly 1 year old golden retriever rescue and a frantic phone call. Pete took the time to talk with us and explain the reason for this behavior. He opened our eyes, calmed us down and we knew this was the training facility for us. We immediately enrolled her in the training. Basic obedience through therapy and we couldn't have been happier. We rescued another puppy in September and again immediately enrolled her in training at Kindred Souls. Watching this puppy learn is amazing. This isn't the type of training facility that you send your dog away to and expect someone else to do the training for you. Pete answers all of your questions and shows you the proper way to handle your dog. If you don't spend the time to work with your dog you won't get the results you desire but if you follow Pete's instructions and DO the required homework you won't be disappointed.

So to the person who called Pete a drunk, I think you should check your own habits first considering his classes are only an hour long. Sounds like a competitor attacking his character if you ask me. Also to the people who complain about his manners, Pete absolutely loves these animals. He cares so much for them that it’s his job to correct a bad owner. So if you can’t take constructive criticism to obtain a well mannered animal then you have no business owning one. Kindered Souls was the best place I could have taken my dog. If you want an obedient, well mannered, and all around great dog, this is the place to go. I am grateful for all Pete has done for my dog and I. I will continue to support his training.

When I adopted my puppy Kodak, I was in search of a dog trainer near me. I read the reviews on every business I could find and ended up signing up with Pete at Kindred Souls for Basic Obedience 1. First off, the price for the quality is unheard of. Pete is thorough and although a group class, makes sure everyone is paid attention to and answers all individual questions. After reading the few negative reviews about him “not having people skills”, it boggles my mind. The BEST thing about Pete is that he tells you how it is, no beating around the bush & we need that, especially as new pet owners. Our dogs depend on us and he is only there to help us. I could only assume the negative reviews were from people who gave up on training and didn’t like being called out on it. Going to Kindred Souls was the best choice I made for Kodak & I and we will continue to advance our training here.
