King K9 Academy

We found King K9 when we needed some assistance to correct some new sniffing behaviors in our daughter's adult service dog. Joshua was able to help us with this and give wonderful guidance. When I became aware of them having puppies available in the future, we decided to adopt one for training as a future SD. We have been so very happy with this little girl but needed more guidance on how to direct her high drive and enthusiasm, as well as cope with some anxiety. We did the board and train for a total of 4 weeks and what a huge change! She came out so different in her behavior and acceptance of cues, but with still the sunny personality we love so much. We met with Joshua again now 3 months later to check in and he seemed quite pleased with her progress. He gave some further suggestions on handling some behavior that we immediately put into place and she is responding very well to them. I would definitely recommend King K9 to anyone who is struggling with their pup, no matter the age, to help with negative behaviors or even just to reinforce good ones!

If you notice all the reviews are 5 stars, that is why I picked Joshua. Because I saw 5 stars and I'm glad I did. I am more than happy with his service. And 5 stars is not enough. I have a 5-year-old border collie who was running around like a maniac. And would run off and not come back. With Joshua's help We have a training plan. My dog is more responsive listens. Behaves, and it is a pleasure now. I can take my dog places and not worrying about her taking off. I cannot thank Joshua enough for his help. And giving me the skills to train my dog like I said, there's a reason why all his reviews are five stars.My dog is incredible.Somehow, five stars and thank you are not enough

We had an outstanding experience with Joshua and couldn’t be happier with our dog Wilbur’s training. Wilbur completed a 3 week board and train program with King K9 Academy and the results have been truly impressive. Since coming home, Wilbur has been able to maintain focus and control in high distraction environments (something he really struggled with prior to training). At pick up Joshua took plenty of time to walk us through Wilbur’s training and he explained not just what Wilbur learned but how we should approach situations at home to set us up for continued success. I also really appreciated the follow-up appointment where Joshua met us at a farmers market a few weeks after taking Wilbur home. This visit helped us to reinforce Wilbur’s training in a high distraction environment with real time coaching from Joshua. I would highly recommend King K9 Academy to anyone seeking dog training. Joshua was extremely professional, patient, and accommodating to our schedule. His depth of knowledge and commitment to dog training clearly stood out from other trainers I have worked with in the past. We are incredibly grateful for the lasting skills Wilbur learned at King K9 Academy!

Josh (King K9 Academy) is amazing! He tailored Brick's (1yo Rottweiler) training to accomodate my schedule and specific needs/goals. We participated in a 6 week e-collar training. Brick was a good dog that now really thrives in our family thanks to Josh's training and guidance. Josh listened to the needs and goals I wanted to work on such as managing Brick in public around people/other animals and accommodated by having a training session in the community. Josh has an exceptional ability to listen, observe, address, and gently point out both the owners and dogs behavior for successful outcomes. I would highly recommended King K9 Academy!

We couldn’t be happier with the transformation of our pup Cooper! He spent 3 weeks in a board and train program and came home a calm and obedient little guy! We couldn’t believe how much he improved and how well he listens to commands. We just got a 2nd puppy and one of the first things we did was set her up for puppy training with King K9 Academy. Joshua has such a calm temperament and beautiful property and we felt very comfortable with our beloved dog in his care. Can’t recommend enough!
