Being in the military and having a dog is very difficult. I had PCS'd to California and had a friend and then a deployment dog sitter cared for my dog for a little over a year in South Carolina. When I got my dog back, he was different. He would lunge, growl, bark, and try to bite other people and dogs. I felt hopeless, I couldn't keep him away from dogs and people forever, California is a lot more populated than South Carolina. I had to keep a muzzle on him, walk him outside at awkward hours in the day. I couldn't keep up and his reactivity was just gradually getting worse. My significant other and I reached out to Kingdom K9 for help. At the free consultation, Zuko barked and growled at a dog statue, and even tried biting Kahlil. Boarding training was our best option. I visited weekly to take notes and see my dogs progress. I picked him up recently and I'm so grateful for the Kingdom K9 team. Seeing my dog around other people and dogs and his fixed behavior felt so relieving. I finally wasn't hesitant or nervous for a small task like taking my dog outside to use the bathroom. This is one of the First dog training facilities or dog trainers period that use foundational training. They train your dogs brain to think and make good decisions. I have seen them work with multiple dogs and the transformations have been game changers for not only the dogs but their owners. Our 4 year old German Shepherd completed the board and train program with K9 Kingdom and it was definitely worth the investment. We have a 1 year old son at home and I was beginning to feel nervous having our dog and baby around each other. Our dog Jora was constantly getting into fights with dogs and I was starting to get scared to even take her on walks with our baby. After just 1 week at K9 kingdom I could see a big shift in Joras demeanor. To my surprise Jora was following Khalils commands and even letting him pet her. After several weeks of being boarded we brought her home and continued the training. One of the best parts is having Khalil come to our house the next day to reinforce some of the training and answer our questions. I know they are just as invested in Joras success as we are. I feel a lot safer at home now that we have set better boundaries with Jora. It is still a work in progress but there is definitely a noticeable improvement in Jora.
