We have boarded our 5 year old chocolate lab, Sophie, here 2 times. She is a covid puppy so was not properly socialized and is nervous around people she doesn't know. (Not her fault, ours). By the end of the 1st stay she was no longer nipping or growling. By the end of her 2nd stay she wanted to walk up to Tim for some attention. We are so appreciative of Tim's patients and willingness to give our girl the time and space she needed to show what a great girl we know she is. She wasn't there for training, just boarding. The facilities are always clean and we know she is well cared for. She isn't dog aggressive so she even got playtime with some of the other similar sized and energy level dogs in the large enclosed outside run. Highly recommend Kingseed Kennels for boarding your fur baby.

We had a wonderful experience working with Tim to train our 6-month-old golden retriever (Dark Red, field breed). Our dog was not maliciously disobedient, but his puppy energy made him prone to disobeying commands, especially outside of the house. Tim trained our dog how to harness his energy and maintain focus. Tim also did a fantastic job of training us, the humans, on how to properly maintain our dog's training and to continue progressing at home. We can now walk with our puppy in heel position, can rely on his successful recall in public settings, and he can ignore distractions around him without any reactivity. We are so beyond happy with the progress and outcome and HIGHLY recommend Tim to anyone looking for education and professional support with their dog!

Tim Doane is a dog whisperer. We took our 10 month old lab (Moose) to Kingseed for obedience training and we truly could not be happier. Moose went in as smart, but stubborn puppy who use to pull on walks and run out the front door as soon as it opened. Now, Moose is transformed into model citizen who walks on a leash without any pulling, sits at the front door and will only go outside upon permission, and sits on the floor of our kitchen while we cook without stealing everything off our counter. It is truly like Tim brought all of the best qualities of our dog out of him and some how got all of the bad puppy behavior out. We would highly recommend anyone thinking about getting dog training to call Tim Doane. Tim has to be one of the best dog trainers in Michigan.

Tim was great! We dropped off our tiny "I'm way bigger than I look and want everyone to know it" dog Ralph off to Tim for boarding while we were away for a week. Ralph thinks he's the President (nay, Dictator) of the United Dog States of America so we were a bit worried he was going to try and impose his will on all the other good boys and girls that were his roommates for the week. Not the case! Tim had a great set up and Ralph loved it! Not to mention, we had a dog sitter set up but it fell through almost last minute, and Tim was able to make it work for us. We had called around and not only were kennels like, "I hope you're going on vacation in 5 months because that's what our availability is looking like," but they were also charging wild amounts of money. Amounts of money make you wonder if you should even go on the vacation. But we called Tim, he had great prices, availability for us, and a bunch of cute pups for Ralph to act superior to from his suite haha! Great experience all around!

I couldn’t be more thrilled with my experience at Kingseed Kennels! Tim trained my dog Libby, and I picked her up last Saturday. Since then, I’ve been amazed at how well she’s doing with her obedience work. She responds quickly, is eager to please, and is genuinely happy when commands are given.. It’s clear that Tim not only knows what he’s doing, but also truly cares about the dogs he trains. The results speak for themselves. I’m beyond happy with Libby’s progress and incredibly grateful for the outstanding work Tim has done. Highly recommend Kingseed Kennels!
