Kiokee Creek Kennels and Spa

We picked up our husky mix today from boarding training. She worked with Hugh and I was so impressed by how much more calm and obedient she has been so far. Still wild at heart and so, so sweet but much more responsive. We plan to keep working with her using the skills Hugh taught us at home. He showed us how to walk her through commands and we have the option to do public lessons as well, which we think will help her further.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We cannot say enough wonderful things about Kiokee Creek Kennels, Cody, and Dakota. When we sent our English Setter, Dug, to them for board and train, he was a 10-month-old insecure piranha puppy with very little manners — and we were completely overwhelmed. English Setters can be tricky dogs, and we knew harsh training wasn’t an option. We specifically chose Kiokee Creek Kennels because of their experience with hunting and bird dogs, but even with that confidence, we were incredibly nervous about sending Dug away. We truly didn’t know if he was ever going to become the family dog we hoped for. Before Dug even went into the program, we had a few in-person sessions with Cody, and we already noticed a difference. He was patient, kind, and incredibly clear with his explanations and instructions. Those early sessions alone gave us hope. Fast forward to now — we have the dog we never thought we’d have. Dug is confident, well-mannered, and listens beautifully. Even our kids (ages 12, 9, and 5) can give him commands and he responds. That alone speaks volumes about the quality of training and follow-through Cody and Dakota provide. Throughout the entire process, they kept us updated, answered every question, and made us feel supported and reassured. Their care, professionalism, and genuine love for the dogs they train truly sets them apart.
