We cannot say enough wonderful things about Kate at Koda’s Canine Academy! Working with Kate has been such a positive and transformative experience for both Daisy and our family. We started with in home, one on one training and then did a two week board and train to work on Daisy’s confidence, resource guarding, and fear reactivity toward people and other dogs. From the very beginning, Kate was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. She took the time to really understand Daisy and never made us feel judged or like we were a burden. During the board and train, Kate sent us daily videos and detailed explanations of what they were working on and why. I loved that she didn’t just tell us what she was doing. She actually taught us how to understand Daisy (like her body language) and how to continue building on her progress at home. When Kate brought Daisy home, she spent additional time with us doing another lesson and gave us very detailed instructions for helping Daisy successfully transition back into our pack. She truly trained me just as much as she trained Daisy 😅 which I think is such an important part of creating lasting results. Kate has also continued to check in with us even after the training was finished to see how Daisy is doing. That follow up has meant so much and really shows how invested she is in the dogs and families she works with! Daisy has made so much progress, and we feel so much more confident understanding her needs and knowing how to help her. Kate is genuinely one of the sweetest, most compassionate, and knowledgeable trainers we have ever worked with. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has done for Daisy and for our family. If you’re considering working with Koda’s Canine Academy, do it! We would absolutely recommend Kate and will be forever grateful that we found her!

I really enjoyed working with Kate. Our very energetic 1.5-year-old Australian shepherd was becoming increasingly reactive to other people and dogs at the door and on walks. She taught us some very useful disengagement techniques, helped retrain him on how to focus on us and improved his recall. Our walks are 1,000 times more pleasant, and we can take him out to the parks and trails around here without having to worry so much about him stressing out or overreacting to other dogs. I really appreciate her help!

We reached out to Kate for help with our pup, who was struggling with anxiety and behavior issues. Kate has been working with my dog Duke since he was about 6 months old, and I can’t recommend her enough. Duke is a 90-pound blue pitbull with a lot of energy, so having him well-trained and under control is incredibly important to me. Thanks to Kate’s patience, consistency, and knowledge, he’s grown into a well-behaved, confident dog that I can take anywhere with confidence. She doesn’t just train dogs—she teaches owners how to communicate with them and build a stronger relationship. Duke absolutely loves her, and it’s obvious how much she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with.
