Kodiak K9 Training

The background: We have an F1B standard golden doodle who is the sweetest thing but also very high energy and I’ll be honest a little too sassy for her own good. After a call with Brad to discuss our goals and go over any questions, he suggested a couple trainers. We ultimately selected Jake and his wife Ellie since one of our biggest goals was a family dog that would listen to commands from 2 people. Jake and Ellie sent us pics and videos every day with updates on our puppy’s progress. They even took her to fun places for socializing like Home Depot, Tracker Supply and a river lot. After the 2-week board and train program, our puppy listens to commands and is way less reactive. Jake and Ellie also equipped us (the humans) with the tools to continue building on our pup’s training, which has been amazing. We’ve had our puppy back at home for almost 2 weeks and walks are enjoyable, there’s no more ‘witching hour’ chaos in the home, and her recall is on point. We’re still working on greetings but recognize she’s still only a 7 months old puppy. Stop overthinking and make the decision to call Kodiak K9. Good luck!

We had such a great experience with Megan for our dog Newt’s board and train! From start to finish she went above and beyond with super responsive communication, great videos, and an excellent lesson when we wrapped up. Her personable approach and the in-home training made the program really stand out. Corey was also fantastic during our intake call and matched us with the perfect trainer. Our puppy, Cash, went through the board and train program with Megan. We almost couldn’t believe how much Cash’s behavior improved under Megan’s guidance! Megan consistently communicated with us throughout the time that Cash was with her which helped put us at ease about him being away. We appreciated Megan spending 2-3 hours with our family when she dropped Cash off as well. She ensured that we were set up for success to continue Cash’s positive momentum. She’s even continued to check in with us to see how Cash is doing. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about making sure we have long term success. Highly recommend Megan!

We sent our golden retriever, Ollie, to a 2-week board and train with Micah at Kodiak K9, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. Micah kept in constant communication throughout the two weeks, sending updates, pictures, and videos so we could see Ollie’s progress every step of the way. Ollie went on so many field trips, worked around other dogs in training, and even with Micah’s own dogs—which gave him such valuable socialization and exposure. The progress he’s made in just 2 weeks is incredible. We are so impressed with his training and couldn’t be more grateful.
