Koena K9

Christa at Koena K9 is amazing! We did the four week board and train program for our five month old Cane Corso. Our hope was to start Trixie with good habits and behaviors so we can feel confident with her around our older relatives and younger nieces/nephews in addition to just having a well behaved dog in life. Trixie is our first dog so we didn’t know what to expect and Christa’s training blew any expectations we could have had. Now at 9 months old, Trixie can confidently go off leash at the park and in our yard. She walks so well on a leash that I would trust my 2 year old nephew to hold the leash. We constantly get compliments on her behavior from others, especially with her being a “bully” breed. I cannot recommend Christa and Koena K9 enough for starting your dog’s life with a good, confident behavioral foundation.

Louie: Deaf & Blind 2 1/2 year old aussiedoodle Christa is an incredible trainer, and deciding to do a B&T for my pup was the best decision! Louie began resource guarding, fighting with other dogs in the home, showing aggression towards people, and could not go on walks. Due to his impairments, we did not have a way to communicate with him which was a huge problem. Louie completed a 5 week B&T with Christa and is doing SO well. The ecollar has allowed us to correct unwanted behaviors and has given us a way to “call” for Louie when we want him to come. Christa also trained Louie through “touch” commands; finally being able to communicate with him has been a game changer. Louie now enjoys daily walks and gets to explore the outdoors! I have to also note that my vet told me that using an ecollar and sending Louie to a B&T was not a good idea and advised me against it. They said it would likely not work, he wouldn’t learn, and would become more aggressive. This was absolutely NOT the case. Christa does amazing work and I would recommend her over and over again.

I just had Pepper train with Christa she has been home just a little over 24 hrs, and what a Difference it has been having a Calmer and more relaxed dog and having her look at me for direction. I cant Stress enough to those who are reading having your dog learn to relax and being able to stay in a bed stay for an hour and relax is a game changer. My Pepper had over excited energy, she is in a bed stay now and fall asleep. Christa is a dog guru.
