Jim is hands down the very best trainer we have ever had the honor to work with, in 35 years and 10 dogs. Having always owned large breeds, we currently have for the first time, a very active working GSD who loves to train (very seriously) and at times can be a lot to handle. But Jim has gone great lengths and taken serious interest in him, helping us grow, work successfully and bond with the challenges and successes of this super sweet crazy boy, unlike any other trainer we have ever had in the past. We and our pup are coming along each and every day and one day we look forward to him becoming a "finished dog." Thanks to Jim and his acute knowledge and understanding of dogs, he has not only helped us train our boy, but passes on daily knowledge to help us too. He gives us techniques and advice to become better dog owners, including how to really work with and enjoy more this smart and talented pup, that we love. The KK9 community is so supportive of one another, we have also made many great friendships which is an added bonus. Komplete K9 is very unique and offers a dog training experience unlike any other we have ever been part of.

Jim really cares about dogs and about people! He is an excellent trainer and has helped me and my dog so much! He has helped me to understand how to work with my young, intelligent, high energy rescue dog. He has helped me to understand her needs and her limitations as well as her potential and talents. I find him to be incredibly responsive (will respond to questions I text within a few minutes!) and informative. I am so glad I found Jim and I plan to continue to work with him for a long time to come.

I started taking my sweet little pup to KK9 spring of 2020. I had adopted her and hadn’t had a dog since I was a kid so I was pretty lost lol. My dog was sweet but young and needed some help (we both did). Jim was recommended to me at a pet store and the first visit was life changing! Her pulling during our walks had decreased by at least (if not more) 85% from our FIRST session. What I loved was that Jim didn’t train her for me, he taught me how to effectively handle and work with her myself. With his training and patience and kindness she even passed the AKC Certified Good Canine Dog test. KK9 has truly been a Godsend. Because of Jim, both me and my sweet pup are equipped to handle potentially unpleasant encounters with other dogs in public should they happen (and they have). I honestly can’t thank you enough.
