Kovas's Legacy Dog Training

I’ve been working with Alyssa for almost two years with my Alaskan malamute x Belgian malinois mix, starting when he was around 5 months old. Her expertise with northern breeds and reactive dogs has been invaluable in addressing his reactivity, creating a reliable off switch, and developing neutrality in a variety of environments. I wanted to work with her after learning she is a service dog trainer and has multiple incredible huskies herself. In my opinion anyone who can have husky as a service dog is a true magician :) In addition to her structured training programs, she offers genuinely custom private lessons. She introduced my dog to kayaking and water activities—something I couldn’t have done on my own due to my own fears. She also prepared and evaluated us for CGC, Advanced CGC, and Trick Dog titles, ensuring we progressed with confidence and clarity. Alyssa brings custom training that will work for you, patience, and deep knowledge to every session. She offers multiple solutions to help you with your dog - private classes to address specific behavior, change of the location to teach a specific task, group classes and hikes to get dogs more comfortable with each other. OMG! We learned so much. Alyssa's instructions were so concise and just plain made sense. This made it easy to bring the training home for all of us. Me, never had a dog of my own, as well as my partner who had dogs all her life. Can't forget Fergus our McNab. 10 weeks old at the start, and now a graduate and STAR puppy! My dog Sully had a rough start in life. He's gone from a dog that was afraid of everything to a dog who has the self confidence to enjoy life. Alyssa has been spot on in reading his body language. She doesn't forget anything, remembering Sully's reactions to certain things. Her advice has been life changing for us. She's also very organized.
