KPro K9

My 1-1/2 year old golden retriever was good with his basic obediance but had gone as far aspossible in group classes. I needed help with his demand barking and to improve on his ability to remain relaxed in all public settings. One on one training with Cassie was exactly what we needed. She taught us tools to manage and minimize demand barking. She helped improve our loose lease walking, leash control, and our dog's ability to relax in public including reaction to other dogs. By the time we finished our dog earned his advanced and urban canine good citizen titles. Cassie was always friendly and flexible with our training needs, scheduling, and locations.

When we started training, we focused on our rescue pup but Cassie has incorporated our senior dogs in training as well. She has been so supportive and creative with training solutions. We reached out to KPro K9 after adopting a dog from NHS in April. Buddy is 90lbs of sweet boy, but it quickly became clear that he considered himself an alpha, had never been around cats before, and definitely didn't understand the concept of staying in the yard. We have been working with Cassie since mid-April, and Buddy just finished his beginner obedience training today. We couldn't be happier with his progress! From the first phone call, Cassie has listened to our concerns about Buddy and was supportive in our preferences of training techniques. She is wonderful with Buddy and our other dogs, who didn't want to miss out on the training-treat action, so they've learned along the way as well. The basis of their training is positive reinforcement with a realistic expectation of progress, and the understanding that there would be steps back along the way (still working on recall, but had our first successful callback today after Buddy decided to take an unplanned jaunt through the neighborhood). With the positive reinforcement training, Buddy looks forward to every visit from Cassie and her magical bag of treats - there's no training component of punishment or negative correction, and he has thrived in this positive learning environment. I would highly recommend Cassie and KPro K9 if you are looking for obedience and advanced level training for your dog. We will be signing Buddy up for the next level of classes soon!
