Kristina's Critters

My husband and I have had quite a bit of experience with dogs over the years but when the youngest and newest of our four dogs started to display some signs of aggression we got in touch with Kristina. Kristina responded to our initial inquiry right away and we set up an introductory call. From the beginning, I was impressed with how well she listened to our concerns. Kristina is a wealth of knowledge in terms of explaining why behaviors are happening and what the approach to correction might look like. We are 100% on board with the fear free mentality and felt that Kristina would be a wonderful fit for what we needed. Our sessions with Kristina took place in her facility, at our home, and also via zoom. There was great strategy and benefit to all of these sessions. Kristina offered so many suggestions for behavior modification related to all four of our dogs. As with any training, time and repetition that is spent by the dog parent truly makes the difference with the knowledge that Kristina gives. I will be recommending Kristina’s Critters to everyone I know. Investing in a quality trainer is truly one of the best things a person can do for their dog(s).

If you have a nervous, fearful, or reactive dog and are looking for someone to help guide you through, Kristina is your person! I started working with Kristina at the beginning of this year and simply can’t say enough good things about her. She’s so empathetic and was great at listening to my dog’s unique situation and tailoring a strategy to him. My dog has struggled with overcoming his anxieties and fears when faced with unexpected things out in the world (bikes, cars, trucks, etc). He typically runs away at full speed when he encounters anything remotely triggering. I knew he couldn’t go to a training facility since he would be so overwhelmed and shut down, but Kristina was able to travel to us for our sessions! She observed my dog’s body language and helped break down what he was going through and suggested what strategies and tools I could use to help him cope and become more confident. Having such a personalized experience was amazing, and I simply can’t recommend Kristina’s Critters enough!

If you’re looking for a fear free trainer, look no further! Kristina was an absolute gem and made sure I understood each week’s training sessions. She gave me the opportunity to ask plenty of questions, and select the training topics that me and my 8 month golden retriever needed to survive the puppy phase. We’ve been set up for success with the foundations and we will continue to build on what we’ve learned!
