If you’re looking for both a compassionate and knowledgeable dog trainer , no need to look any further. I cannot recommend Shelby and her team enough. I first sought out Shelby to help my dog, Cannoli, after a disappointing experience with a previous trainer . Cannoli had a list of worrisome issues including reactivity with both people and dogs . During the initial evaluation of cannoli, I quickly went from feeling helpless to hopeful. She was able to accomplish more with cannoli in 15 minutes than the handful of private lessons I had tried prior. I chose to enroll cannoli in the 14 day board and train program, and the only regret I have is I wish I found Shelby sooner! His 14 days stay was tailored for his and I’s specific needs. After being under Shelby and her team’s supervision and care all those needs were met and then some! On top of getting back a happier and more confident puppy, Shelby also has made sure to give me ,as his owner, the right tools, advice, and encouragement to make sure his newfound skills don’t become rusty. I’m so grateful to have found Shelby and her team! If you are seeking effective dog training, especially for reactive dogs, you will not regret using Kyser K9 training!

Our 8-month-old 50 pound Bernedoodle Aubie loved to jump, bite / chew everything and wake us up throughout the night. Our 3-year-old undid most training, so hiring a trainer was inevitable. We had half a dozen recommended people, I spoke with each and knew from the first call Shelby was "it!" She gets dogs... starting with a personality profile and how to manage them for best results. Aubie came back different -- better. I hoped to appreciate his growth and skills while still enjoying him as our puppy. He's now (more so) awesome. And everything Shelby provided reiterates the goals shared upfront. Dogs are like kids plus a responsibility. We have Shelby's support for staying on top of new skills and continued results.
