Kyser K9 Dog Training

I cannot say enough great things about Shelby at Kyser K9! My Goldendoodle, Benson, has been completely transformed through her training program. One of the biggest gifts she gave us was helping Benson and me finally speak the same language. He is now wonderful on walks, listens so much better, and is an absolute joy to be around. Throughout the entire process, Shelby provided daily videos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind while my baby boy was away. It was clear every day how much she cared about his progress and well-being. I have recommended Shelby to everyone I know because the results speak for themselves. She is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely passionate about what she does. I am so grateful to have worked with her and thankful for everything she has done for Benson and our family. Thank you, Shelby!

Shelby did such an amazing job with our dogs. We have a toddler and it was always chaos in the house with two dogs. They are different dogs in the best way coming home from board and train. She taught my husband and I the commands and kept everything super simple and manageable to continue at home. They’ve been home a few weeks now and are continuing to do great. She sent us tons of pictures and videos daily while they were there. So happy we decided to work with Kyser k9 :)

When I tell you I’ve never seen my dog like this, I mean it. Shelby runs a tight program. Our dog is deaf so we literally had no idea how to talk to our dog. Shelby gave us a RELATIONSHIP with our border collie. We were in desperate need of someone to help us, and Shelby opened her arms and allowed us to be BLESSED, and I mean BLESSED by her program. After training our pup, Shelby is now visiting our home weekly to keep our pup up to date on everything she learned. It’s hard to find someone who puts their heart and soul into what they do these days, but I firmly believe Shelby and Kyser K9 is one in a million. Shelby is extremely selfless with her time, understanding with her clients, and an expert in the dog training world. We are forever grateful for our pup’s time at Kyser k9.

Highly unprofessional; avoid if you value communication. We initially chose Kyser Dog Training for our coonhound, Odie, based on Shelby’s claimed experience with the breed. Unfortunately, the experience was a disaster. After an enthusiastic consultation where she promised to "solve all our problems," she had us purchase an expensive list of equipment—only to ghost us immediately after. Shelby’s communication is non-existent. While she was MIA on our training partnership, she was highly active on social media, prioritizing her "influencer" image and gym posts over her paying clients. When confronted about the lack of follow-up, she simply claimed she was "new to the management thing." It is clear she is more interested in the "look" of her Instagram feed than actually running a business or training dogs. We gave one star only because her failure led us to Total Dog Tampa! They actually cared about Odie success and even incorporated the tools Shelby made us buy so it was not a waste for us. Odie graduated last month; no thanks to Shelby.

We are beyond grateful to Shelby and her amazing work with our 11-month-old Golden Retriever. We did the 10-day board and train, and our life with Bonnie has drastically changed since then! Bonnie used to get extremely excited in outdoor settings and when meeting new people, which led to pulling on the leash and trying to jump on every stranger she came across. She would also try to eat anything and everything during walks, which made the whole experience very stressful. During the time she was with Shelby, we received daily updates, photos, and videos, along with instructions on how to continue the training at home. On pick-up day, Shelby spent so much time walking us through all the exercises, but most importantly explaining how to better understand our dog’s brain and behavior. Shelby has also been super responsive after the training, answering follow up questions now that Bonnie is at home. Our relationship with our dog has improved so much, and we’re now having so much fun exploring the outdoors—coffee shops, walks—without any chaos. Bonnie gets to see the world with us and we are all so happy we can do that together! We are so excited for the journey ahead and for joining the pack walks! We’re so glad we found Shelby. Her love and dedication to dogs is truly evident.
