Lakeshore K9 Training

We adopted a well-intended German Shepherd that lacked any kind of patterned discipline. This dog is 5 years old and I am the third owner of the dog. I have adopted 3 other shepherds in the past and was able to help them become dogs that were calm and stable in any situation. Not so with this dog; she came with issues. This dog was extremely reactive to other dogs, humans, etc. We are committed to making this her last home and realized I needed professional help to make that happen. I ran into another Shepherd owner on a Muskegon beach who had used Jeff to get his dog trained when she was young. He recommended Lakeshore K9 and that we look into his training program. After 6 weeks, I can't believe the difference in our dog. She is so obedient, much less reactive, and generally an easy dog to trust in changing situations. She is well behaved when passing other dogs and has she has finally stopped her obsessive barking in the car (which is her favorite place to be). This training has opened up so many places and activities that we can do together due to her improved behavior. It has also provided a much easier life for both me and our dog as she knows our behavior expectations. Jeff is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in this type training. I wanted to make our dog a companion we can take in a variety of situations and this would not have happened without this training. In my opinion, the training was well worth the costs and efforts. It has greatly helped us to make sure that she is never going to be rehomed again.

Working with Jeff training our dog was a great experience. He is very knowledgeable and has a wealth of information. He was great with our dog. He helped us to help Scooch be a better dog. Although we're still working with the dog, the training WE got along with the dog with be with us forever. I would recommend Jeff and his training techniques to anyone who has a difficult dog as well as a dog that just need discipline training.

Jeff really knows dogs and what make them tick. He worked with us and our 2 year-old Anatolian shepherd mix that we rescued, and with his powerful tools helped us to transform our dog into a more obedient, well-controlled dog who no longer jumps up on us, growls and nips at us, or steals food off of our plates. As a clinical psychologist in independent practice, I can say that his behavioral principles are sound, positive reinforcement based, and ultimately loving as he has helped us to bring out the best in our dog, Scooch.
