Larry the dog trainer is amazing! We purchased our yellow lab Sherlock to train as a therapy dog. Much to our disappointment, he had some serious issues that would prevent him being a therapy dog. We did our homework to find a reputable, reliable trainer that fit our style and discovered Larry. He uses sound straightforward techniques that do not involve shocking, cruelty, or constant treats . This man knows dogs and he will teach you to train your dog with loving, no nonsense commands. Ultimately, it is us humans that need the training and Larry is respectful, courteous and direct and kind to us humans as well. THANK YOU LARRY! you are awesome and Sherlock is well on his way to be a great dog to serve others.

Luckily, we did not have a lot of the issues that many people seemed to have with their dog, we just needed some assistance with obedience training. Larry was so nice and definitely took his time working with me and my little Cockapoo - Peanut, who is turning 1 year old in a few days. He really is a good little dog, just needed a bit of fine tuning. I was struggling to get him to walk properly on a leash and biting at the leash and Larry had him walking like a show dog in just a few minutes! He also showed us how to stop biting the leash. Part of the issue was that he did not have the proper collar, and Larry had one with him that we purchased – we also purchased a long lead for outside training and a shorter lead for training indoors and a beautiful leather leash line and a little toy that Peanut just loves. Larry also worked with us on stay, come, stop chasing the cats and how to keep Peanut from jumping on people when they came over – especially little kids because he loves kids, but it does get annoying. We are still working on this, but with Larry’s guidance, he has already improved. He gave us all kinds of great literature as well and made sure that we had toys for him that were safe as well as a safe crate and proper diet, which was much appreciated.
