Laughing Dogs Academy is a science-based, positive relationship-centered dog training practice founded in 1992 and rooted in the belief that a well-trained dog begins with a well-understood one. Based on Vashon Island, Washington, we specialize in puppy primers, behavioral evaluation, reactive dog work, multi-dog household dynamics, and rescue dog integration. We work with dogs from puppies through their golden years, with a strong focus on children and dog dynamics and building the kind of confident, respectful dog who moves safely and comfortably through the world. Cayce is a 30+ veteran in dog training. I worked with her to train my puppy in the midst of COVID-19. She was Very safety-conscious but also flexible and creative, finding ways to help over FaceTime, texted videos, in person from a distance, and in distanced outdoor class. She was always supportive and never talked down to me. I’ve been through dog training before, but Cayce’s very verbal approach was new to me. Plus it’s been 15 years and you forget all the details of puppyhood. I highly recommend her.
