Lead Me On, Inc

For us, and I'm sure all of you, there's nothing more precious in this world than our dogs. My wife and I spare no expense and do thorough research to ensure our dog Mia's health and happiness. We had tried several other boarding facilities nearer to us in the past. Most were caring well meaning but as we have since learned, lacked a full understanding of a dogs behavior and mentality. As a result, Mia would always come home very stressed and twice injured. We did not fault the facilities because the injuries occurred in an otherwise calm group setting where she or another dog (usually her) would start fighting unexpectedly. Because of this unpredictable behavior, she would understandably have to be kept in a kennel, but still in site of other agitated dogs, and it would sometimes take several days for her to get back her happy self at home. It got to the point where we stopped going anywhere unless we could take her with us. This didn't just happen at kennels or daycare. On walks she would happily greet other dogs, and then explode and try go after another one for no apparent reason. Dog trainers had said that this reactiveness can't be cured, but we were then told by several people that Ursula was the best, so we enrolled her in the reactive dog training class. Wow, what a revelation! We now understand what sets her off, and now have the tools to avoid or minimize those triggers. The class was awesome!! Since Ursula incorporates her mastery of dog phycology to her boarding environment, we were anxious to see how it would go. We have since boarded her there several times including our recent 17 day trip to Europe, which was the longest. This time, and every time, we get back a healthy, joyful and relaxed puppy dog. It's like we never left. Thank you Ursula, and your wonderful, caring and knowledgeable staff! My dog was taken to Lead Me On Kennel in Thurston County on the 3rd of January and picked up on the 6th. All seemed fine and two days later the 8th she developed a cough. After some research and checking resources the Lead Me On Kennel was contacted about her condition. The Lead Me On Kennel manager stated they were aware of a sick animal they had boarded over the New Years holiday and was picked up on the 1st. The manager also stated they did a cleaning and put the issue to bed I assume. I assume this because we were never told of the virus upon picking up our animal and it wasn't until we called them on the 8th it has come to the forefront. An email was sent to Lead Me On Kennel yesterday the 14th with no response back, no offer to pay for the vet or medication. If Lead Me On Kennel operates business like this with 0 communication one can only image if dogs could talk. David W.
