Lead the Way Home

We recently adopted a 10 month old Black lab/Black mouth Cur named Zena. Lead the Way has provided the most amazing experience for us! From the moment we started communicating with them, they helped us with every step of the adoption process, getting her adapted to our home, training and eveything in between. Our pup is pretty high energy and had some behavior issues due to trauma as a pup, lack of proper exercise and training. She is growing to be such a sweet, fun and lovable pup. Without the patience and knowledge she may have been labelled a "Bad dog". She is not. There has not been one obstacle that they have not helped us through. They will come to the home if they need to see certain behaviors first hand, and have given tips I never would have thought of myself. I have some experience with grooming and training but they go way above and beyond to get into the mind of a your pup. I think we are better pet parents and better people parents because of them. If I could give this team a million stars I would. I came to them in desperate need of help for my timid dog. We had 6 weeks to get Zeke social enough to start his training to be a working police dog. Amy and her team gave me the tools, their patience, books to read, all things necessary to help my boy gain his confidence. Well, today was the day and Zeke performed wonderfully. He walked into a room full of strangers with a perky tail and his nose held high in the air. The clicker training was a huge help and we now have an advantage in our police dog training class. The academy instructors have also included clicker training for police dogs! I cannot rave about this company enough, if you are in search of a "pack" search no more. Amy, Mike and the crew are amazing trainers and I am forever grateful for their lessons.

If you're looking for a dog trainer, this is it! My dog has been dealing with a TON of anxiety, a classic, reactive "pandemic pup" that made regular life activities seem difficult. Going on walks was nearly impossible, and extremely stressful for both of us. I was feeling completely defeated as a dog-owner when I first reached out to Amy and her team. After a consultation, they crafted a program for my dog. My dog has completely transformed, and is still improving. I cannot thank and recommend Lead the Way enough! Amy and her team are super knowledgable, and you can tell they REALLY care. My only regret is that I didn't reach out to them sooner!
