FirstBarkLead the Way K9 Training is the best! We have 3 Goldendoodles that we sent to training, get groomed and board here when needed. Our dogs are well taken care of, don’t come home stressed and have lots of running and play time while in their care. We always get photo updates on the dogs when boarding and grooming too. I would definitely recommend all of their service’s!

do you have any recomendations for trainers who can help w bigger dogs from the shelter? trying to get them leash trained and basic manners so they can get adopted. some of them have been there too long! Please if you know of any
Hello, thank you for the message. We train all sizes. At this time we don’t have the personnel to train pro bono to help dogs get adopted. With that said we donate and support the Delaware Humane Society on a monthly basis. It is a goal of our company to help train dogs in the shelters to help get adopted but we are just not there yet. Recently a german shepard was added to our home. She is 4 years old and great with people. She has attacked one of our other dogs unprovoked 3 times. Will Training get her to stop? The other dog is much smaller and I don't want her hurt.

Lead the Way is Fabulous! Our pup Ruby gets nervous in the car but when we turn into the driveway for Lead the Way, she immediately gets excited. She used to struggle to adjust back at home after boarding but eases right in after being with the wonderful Lead the Way staff. They are always very welcoming and are excellent communicators!
Fantastic in a word. First call til check out. You can tell each and every person treats and feel like this is their career or calling. Truly top notch. I would recommend strangers and the closest family members.

Our 4-year old golden retriever has been home for about a month since he did the 2-week board and train at Lead the Way K9. My husband and I truly cannot get over the difference since he's been home!! The training that Josh and Brittany did with him is absolutely incredible and is something we wish we would have done years ago. Our loving, high-energy, big personality golden retriever now has the tools and training he needs to stay calm in certain situations. No more jumping on our guests when they come over, no more pulling on the leash when he sees a squirrel, excellent recall skills when off the leash, etc. Truly could not recommend the board and train program enough! Also, when we picked up our dog from the 2-week program, Brittany and Josh did an excellent job explaining all the commands and equipment. They made it so easy and gave us the confidence we needed to stay consistent with the training at home!
