do you have any recomendations for trainers who can help w bigger dogs from the shelter? trying to get them leash trained and basic manners so they can get adopted. some of them have been there too long! Please if you know of any
Hello, thank you for the message. We train all sizes. At this time we don’t have the personnel to train pro bono to help dogs get adopted. With that said we donate and support the Delaware Humane Society on a monthly basis.
It is a goal of our company to help train dogs in the shelters to help get adopted but we are just not there yet. Thanks again for reaching out and we wish you all the best!

Recently a german shepard was added to our home. She is 4 years old and great with people. She has attacked one of our other dogs unprovoked 3 times. Will Training get her to stop? The other dog is much smaller and I don't want her hurt.

More importantly we trust them completely with our dog, who is an absolute cherished member of our family. We know his safety and wellbeing are a high priority for LTW always and I love that our dog gets so much social time during every stay! Every time we drop him off our dog gets uber excited and runs frantically to get in- no stress or anxiety, he loves going! Which gives me so much peace of mind.
We also did LTW’s puppy training/boarding and I also highly recommend that, the training staff is great at what they do and have a consistent and measured approach.

Darby always has the best time at Lead The Way K9 Training & Boarding. We initially enrolled her in their board-and-train program, and since then she has returned several times for long weekends and vacations.
I can't thank the team enough. Darby is naturally an anxious dog, but I always feel completely confident leaving her in their care. The staff genuinely understands her needs, and it's clear from how excited she is to be there that she's having a great time.
It's incredibly difficult to find a boarding facility that cares for your dog as if they were their own. That's exactly what we've found here. Even after moving closer to the city, I'll gladly make the drive because I know Darby is receiving exceptional care and attention.
Highly recommend Lead The Way K9 to anyone looking for a trustworthy place for training or boarding.

I had one of the best pet boarding experiences at K9 in Delaware. From the way K9 team communicates with you to all the lovely photos sent to you and posted on social media (instagram) gives you a warm-heated relief even when I was out of town. I love how there is the system called "AM pickup" service, and they offer "exit bath" service so that you dog can come home nice and clean after a long-term boarding. The place is huge and clean. I highly recommend this place for your daycare & boarding needs.
