Lead Your K9

I’ve had an overall positive experience with Lead Your K9 and have definitely seen improvement in my dogs through the program. When my first dog was a puppy, one thing I really appreciated was how active they were on social media — we would often see him in the background of videos or photos playing and training, which made us feel connected and reassured while he was there. This time around, with two dogs currently attending, I still see improvement in my newer dog, so I do believe the training is working. However, communication feels much more limited compared to our first experience. We rarely see our dogs in any posts or get updates, so it’s hard to know how they’re doing day to day or what they’re working on. Overall, I do like the program and the progress we’ve seen, but I would love to see more owner involvement and social media updates like they used to share before

We recently picked up a 7 week old Belgian Malinois puppy! We knew what we were getting into with this breed and were looking for someone to guide us in obedience and training her to the best of our ability. We found Lead Your K9 by reference. We reached out and met with Tony over zoom which was a great experience. Found out he had a few malinois so that was a bonus. Today was our first in home training with Tony and we couldn't be happier. Even before we introduced Tony to Pheonix, we had a Q&A and Tony answered all our questions in great detail. Then the training began and just the ideas, guidance and suggestions were all very helpful. This was only our first session but we are excited to continue with Tony! Pheonix must of had a good time as she has been napping for quite some time since he left.

As a Lowe's associate witnessing how these trainer's interact and treat these poor dogs is unbelievable. From dragging them by their collars down the aisles and making them yelp from how much they get shocked no wonder they seem more "obedient" when returned back to the owner. The trainers come into Lowe's multiple times and witnessing it after so long I had to come here to write a review so hopefully you chose another training dog place that knows how to properly handle your canine.

My finance and I opted for three, in-person lessons to address behavioral issues with our one-and-a-half-year-old female Bernedoodle. For context, our dog had issues with being a “first-time listener”, patience, environmental reactivity, difficulty with focus/recall, and questionable leash manners. Tony was able to provide us with breed-specific insights for training, what her body language was telling us, gave recommendations for the appropriate tools to aid in communication on walks (the Heather’s Heroes “sidekick” leash is exceptional), and worked with us both in the house and out in the field. He is professional, courteous, patient, and passionate about what he does. Although our dog will require additional reinforcement using the lessons Tony taught, she has come a long way in a short time. Here is a notable highlight: Our dog was a liability on our walks and was potentially a danger to herself (ex: she would occasionally pull INTO traffic if something scared her, rather than away), but she has not done so since training was completed.
