How can I get my dog to stop being destructive?
Many destructive and behavioral issues, can be remedied simply by providing direction and guidance to your dog. Just taking your dog for a walk evey day can help immensely. You want your dog to be physically and mentally tired. If you're having trouble walking your dog or teaching commands, we can be of great help to you. We offered balanced dog training and have been teaching owners effective ways to successfully train their dogs since 2007.

Should I send my dog away to a trainer or learn to train myself?
The best trainer for your dog is you. Honestly, it's never just a dog issue, when you are experiencing obedience, behavior and manners issues. Your dog needs to view you as it's leader, or a better word would be mentor. Building a trusting bond involves having the right tools and techniques to help your dog become a really successful dog. When you send your dog away, you're giving away that bonding opportunity and the dog doesn't learn to obey you. The best way to earn your dogs trust and respect is training your own dog, using kind, patient, and effective techniques. We never use pinch, choke or shock collars.

How much does this usually cost to bring in a puppy who is agressive with his siblings?
First, we do not take in dogs for training - we teach you, the owner, very effective techniques to help you solve the issue. Our techniques have remained successful with behavior issues since 2007! We can set him up for success if we start before the issue becomes serious. If the puppy is already at your home, call as soon as possible to set up training.

Wendy is patient and caring for the dogs she trains. She also makes the training fun. She will meet you and your dog where your level of comfort is. She is great!!!

DO NOT USE THIS TRAINING FOR YOUR DOG. I had 5 training sessions with Wendy and every session was completely terrible. Wendy has a bad attitude, always cut training short because it is too hot or says the dog is tired when she is the one frustrated. She cannot get my dog to do most of the things that she is asking and ALWAYS blames how I am handling, blames my dog and says it is because he is not neutered, is on the wrong diet, too energetic, he just wants to mate with every dog, pretty much every excuse she could find and tries to sell me on her on products such as dog food, snacks, and leashes and says once I do, he will start behaving. I thought maybe Wendy was just having a bad day the first session, I was wrong. Bad attitude every training session that ends up a blaming session, try to sell me her products and training is cut short for whatever excuse. Do not waste your money because your dog will not learn anything extra that you can do yourself and watch from YouTube. It seems like Wendy only has success with small and toy dog breeds because that are the only video examples she shows me of previous clients. I have a medium sized working dog breed and she did absolutely nothing. Not worth the more than a thousand dollars she charges for 5 sessions of less than an hour of walking around the park and your local hardware store.

If you're looking for a dog trainer, look no further! I first used Wendy with Leader of the Pack 10 years ago with my bichon-poo Bon Bon, who was a rescue had a myriad of obedience and behavior issues, and just recently with my maltipoo puppy Cookie who is, well ... a puppy! . She clearly loves dogs and teaches positive reinforcement to teach, and gentle communication to correct. In both instances there was great improvement in just the first session, and both graduated with their Canine Good Citizen certificate by the end of our sessions. Cookie, at just one year, also passed her Control Evaluation to begin doing therapy dog work. I've read over a dozen dog training books but Wendy taught me things I'd never seen elsewhere. Having a trained dog is not only rewarding but makes it enjoyable to take your dog with you in public places and also adds peace of mind, having confidence that they'll obey you. I can't say enough positive things about Wendy and I highly recommend her!
